Thought it was about time to post an update of this dude.

Turns out that the pegs/keyed joints [link] I incorporated into the armature have really been a good idea. I've been able to add a whole lot more detail and do a lot more cleanup since I can take off the limbs and head and tail and work on every part individually.

The biggest change from the last full-body WIP I posted is the feet. I sculpted all of the claws individually out of Apoxie clay and wire and fleshed out the digits. The biggest help in that entire process was super glue, surprisingly. Sculpey is usually incredibly frustrating to work with when it comes to fingers and toes, since it doesn't like to stick to the armature very well. A thin layer of superglue gel spread on each digit solved that problem very well, though.

I'm in the process of bulking out the sculpture a little more before I go on to add scales and fur. I bought some brass sheeting and tubing to experiment with on that front, though, and will be making some tools for scales/texturing. I'll post photos of the tools that end up working out.

I am definitely open to feedback and would love a critique if anyone wants to take the time to do one.
