Description
This is a tutorial for lightening the color of a wig. It's only semi permanent, so if you wash your wig some of the color are going to wash out. But it looks great though!! xD And I haven't heard of anyone else that has been able to lighten the color of a wig, so this is revolutionary !! haha, just kidding! I hope you find it useful. This tutorial is awesome. I'm planning on buying a wig that people have said it's way darker than the picture, so now I know I can use that wig and have it be the right color. :3

Well it didn't work for me...That or I am doing it wrong.
Thought I'd lighten my long-ish wig but it just makes it hard to brush and it looks like vomit...White vomit.

Well in the end I just suck at using markers anyway. My wig is dead but it was finished for the use. GG WP.

I know, and I'm sorry about that! Photoshop doesn't offer spell-check, and I'm a bit dependent on that.. English isn't my first language and I type really fast and sloppy.. xD But Thank you so much!

Hello, how many markers did you use for this? I'm thinking that this could be the best solution to a wig I need, although they don't sell posca markers where I live so I would need to order it online.

I heard that you can put lemon juice in a wig and leave it out in the sun for a week and it will get lighter. Does that work too?

could you possibly provide a source on where to buy some POSCA markers, please?

I buy it locally in norway, but you could try hobby stores or staples. Or you can look for them on ebay or amazon. Sorry for the late reply.

One question, does the color fall off? I'm kinda aware of that issue because I used black sharpie on one of my wigs before and my hands wre all black.

SO sorry for the late reply! Do not wash it, then the color will wash out too! But you can brush it and use hairspray and whatever you want, other than liquids^^

I don't think so, though.. Β Since the markers aren't alcohol based it might just ruin it. But please tell me if you ever try it out!:3

Im sorry for butting in here but couldn't you use a white sharpie (or Promarker if you are outside of the US, then sharpies can be hard to find) to get the same effect? :> They are alcohol based si they should set? I think

Seena-Cha In reply to enjoithis [2014-04-09 01:55:55 +0000 UTC]
i want to use light blue on a dark blue wig. I already tried bleach and it didnt work on my wig, and i feel like the sharpie wont be strong enoughΒ since i want to use something opaque.
