Description EDIT2 (8/7/17): This tutorial might be revised for just PMX Editor only! I will try to get around to it!

EDIT: Sometimes it doesn't always work. If it doesn't work the first time, Make sure the X Rotation bones say bone instead of relative when adding the child bone. Another method is retyping in the bone numbers for the X rotation bones parents and child bones. Hit enter so it registers. Thank you to for helping me explain this tutorial a bit better!

Here's another Tutorial That I made from first model problem experience. It took me a week to figure out so what I did to figure this out was to look at my other good working models. Β I hope this helps you.

Is the X rotation bones say "Par Bone" and not "Relative?" It's under Display Destination.

FukiroiMiku In reply to RitaLeader14 [2016-09-25 20:29:13 +0000 UTC]

if you mean if it's connected to it's parent bone then yes if not then i don't understand.

I don't know then. X rotation bones a very tricky to try to explain. Of course you know I"m on a long hiatus from fixing models so I don't know what else to tell you.

Thanks for sharing the tutorial! But whenever I play Cirno's Perfect Math Motion, the model's arms with the newly added X-Rotation Bones seem to be messed up and stay like that for the entire duration of the motion. Did I probably do something wrong?

RitaLeader14 In reply to Tung-kun [2016-08-31 20:49:10 +0000 UTC]

I don't really know. But are your model's X rotation bones linked to the elbow and wrist?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Tung-kun In reply to RitaLeader14 [2016-08-31 21:04:13 +0000 UTC]

Yes, they are. And the X-Rotation Bones have the upper arm and elbow bones as parents respectively, that's why I thought that something's gotten weird.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to Tung-kun [2016-08-31 21:19:24 +0000 UTC]

Well I haven't really worked with game ripped models so I don't know what to tell you. Perhaps replacing the X rotation bones with new ones?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Tung-kun In reply to RitaLeader14 [2016-08-31 21:56:21 +0000 UTC]

Replaced the X-Rotation Bones with the newer ones.Β  The problem still persists. No idea where it comes from DX (the motion works totally fine in VMD View, but that's not guaranteed that it also works in MMD).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to Tung-kun [2016-08-31 22:01:53 +0000 UTC]

I would try it in MMD if it works in VMD. Just to make sure.

Umm hi this was really informational but I tried using it and my model still has her X rotation going all weird. I had to mirror add and weight it on my own so I'm worried I messed her up. If it isn't any trouble could you please look at her and see what I did wrong?

Sure, Also I'm sorry that my tutorial didn't help. My tutorial assumed that all the X rotation bones were there. Again very sorry and it's ok. I was frustrated about it too. Just send me a link and I'll fix your model straight away.

MMDSoraBlade In reply to RitaLeader14 [2016-08-26 23:35:46 +0000 UTC]

do you think you could also clean it up a bit? if its not to much trouble i added a set of fangs over a set of tiny ones and i am no expert on like getting rid of the smaller onesΒ

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to MMDSoraBlade [2016-08-26 23:38:19 +0000 UTC]

It's oK to be new at things like this. I'll gladly help. I fix models for free after all. I cleaned a bunch of models up in the past. So I'll fix yours up and get it back to you as soon as I can. I will leave a little "READ ME" file in there. It explains what I've done to clean and fix so you can apply it to yourself.

SilverDreamyRose In reply to RitaLeader14 [2016-08-24 03:05:48 +0000 UTC]

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to SilverDreamyRose [2016-08-24 03:24:31 +0000 UTC]

Well You could either delete the X rotation Bones and re add them with the Semi Standard bones Plugin or Weigh them again. I think the problem is weighing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SilverDreamyRose In reply to RitaLeader14 [2016-08-24 03:28:15 +0000 UTC]

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RitaLeader14 In reply to SilverDreamyRose [2016-08-24 03:41:36 +0000 UTC]

Then try deleting the X rotation bones and re adding them with the Semi Standard bones plugin.
