Here we go! Updated Shading and lighting to go along with my different style.

I wish I had brushes that were thick-thin like your strokes so I could shade like that
just like many other sai users do but ughhh I can't :') I shade similar to your style on paper though.

River, why do you have that little tuft of fur hanging in your face? I think it looks so cool, but I want to know what made you come up with it.

My actual hairstyle is similar to that, so I added it to my character. Honestly River was originally going to have kind of spiky hair/fringe

her backstory is: River was born to shard and freeze she looks like her father freeze her mother and father broke up and had differences where they wanted the kits to go so one day rivers father or freeze got his hench men to beat up his mate and take the kits he took them to the legion a group of feral cats that kill the weak and strengthen the tough ones she hates her father so she grew a patch of tuft over her eye to make her look less like freeze

It's normally above your layers. For SAI, it says "Preserve Opacity". Just check that. On Photoshop it has a few small symbols next to "Lock". Click the first one (it's a box with a checked pattern).
Other programs, I'm not sure, but it helps to press a whole bunch of buttons. XD
