Description Here we have a shot of LNER Class A4 "4468 Mallard" she could also be know as Number 22 "60022" with its old British Rail TOPS Number.

As you may know Mallard is famous for holding the record for the fastest steam train in the world, a record breaking speed of 125.88 mph officially. There has been apparently unofficial attempts that might have been quicker but its their own fault for not providing good enough documentation and therefore Mallard still holds the record.

Taken at the National Railway Museum, York, 18-70mm Lens.

She's a beauty mate. I would've love to seen this loco run on our Australian Rail Network like the Flying Scotsman Did in 1989.

Lovely A4 Class Pacifc mate.

Indeed we all Love A4s over here, as there is only 6 left in exsistance everyone loves them , actually maybe you would like to look at this deviation [link] as the A4s where named after places that the British Empire Controlled, like Australia, there was a A4 named after your country though the engine is gone the Nameplate is daved in the National Railway Musuem as seen in link i just gave you

Very nice picture but I think its sad to see it glossed up and cold, I would rather see a steam engine with a thin layer of grime and a hot firebox.
