Description One of two serious pictures I drew during camp, I inked it during the anniversary dinner at my grandparents', colored it some at the actual anniversary party the next day, then finished it yesterday. :3

It was somewhat inspired by the old attire, around the 1920's, I'm guessing, and throwing a Renfa touch in it, because I just love drawing her so much. X3

I was going to put the markings on her, but then decided not to, because she's not to that level, really. Thus the reason why her wing is somewhat... transparent, or something of that sort. It's a combination of past, present, and future, in both her character and the outfit.

I've had somewhat of a thing for more simple color palletes lately, especially browns. X3 I'm not surewhy, but it's fun! *dances*

I might be tempted to put this on my gallery list (I'm planning on showcasing my stuff somewhere in town), but I have enough of Renfa for one (I'm putting her seasons series in there, which would mean four of her), and there's odd chocolate stains on the paper for two. <<;; I can't explain exactly what it was, like if condensation got inside the chocolate wrapper or what, but it kind of got everywhere. XD;

Um... yeah. Enjoy!

... I love that costume. Also, I got a grey hat almost exactly like that one last week.

I love it too! *jumps up and down*

Ooh, really? I want to see it! X3 Speaking of hats, I'm planning to get one when I have the money! It's pinstripe, and you know I can't resist a pinstripe hat! (If you think hard enough, I'm sure you'll figure it out. Think pinstripe!)

I like the enormous coattails. It kind of reminds me of a cross between a zoot suit and a school uniform.
Also the patent shoes are pretty sweet.

Coattails are fun! XD And your description fits it perfectly. Zoot suit and school uniform, huzzah!

Patent shoes, you say? What makes 'em look like patent shoes? o3o

I... don't... know. That's just what my brain decided they were. Go ask him.

Shiney haaaaaaiiiiirrrr! 8D

I love how you color fabric as well. You must make a tutorial, I need to learn! Hair and skin are easy it's just... clothes. It's so hard to make fabric look like fabric. ;3;

I need to learn about these elementals a little more... maybe my questions will be answered in ARSR? :B

Yesh, Renfa is queen of shiny hair! XD

...There's nothing really special to fabric. o_o You just put shadow in the wrinkles and highlights (white penciiiiiil) at the top of the bumps. To be honest, I'm only really good at thicker fabrics, which have less creases. Thin fabrics have lots and lots of wrinkles, hardly any of which I can possibly know how to draw. XD;;

Yes, there'll be a big explanation from Villia when she tells Renfa. That's a little further in the future, though. >>; Everyone gets to train with Donovan, first!

I'm sure Raos will be thrilled about that. *glances behind to see him huddled in a corner near the door*

... D:

I know how to do the shadowing and everything but there's just this texture you're able to get in your clothing that I can't. Mine always turns out too smooth. ;-;

Hm... I wonder if it's because of the blending pencil. It definitely gives a much more rough appearance than blending markers or the computer...

Well... every queen needs a king, yes? XD
