Description
Highway 66 New MexicoYes, I know I posted this before, but I did such a bad job erasing the telephone line that I thought I should repost it.
Former tavern in New Mexico. This was next to old Highway 66. I'm sure this fell into disuse once the interstate was built. I could see the interstate close by, but you had to travel a long way to access it.
4/7/09 I did a google search with the words: cold beer highway 66 new mexico. The first search result brought up this same tavern. This is considered to be part of the ghost town of Montoya New Mexico (no swordfighting please).

Well if you ever get the chance, take your camera and remember that if you want anything "cold" when you get there, you'll have to have brought it with you.

It would have been nice to have had a little more time to look around. Apparently there is more to the town nearby. I do remember there was sort of a "Boothill" looking cemetery right there as well, but I didn't go into it.
