For future reference. I'm such a sucker for cutesy designs...I like the idea--completely contradictory demeanors and powers, yet the same aspiration to travel the world without ties to anyone or anything.
I really like Sonic with up-turned spikes, to me he looks livelier and even jittery that way lol. Heβs more than likely an adrenaline junky, after all.
And while Mighty's a peaceful, friendly guy, I made his appearance look somewhat threatening to get some juxtaposition going.

These are my two favorite Sonic characters!
I often hear that Mighty's basically a recolor of Sonic: Same belly thing, same skin color (which makes no senseΒ at all, Mighty has yellow skin), sameΒ eye shape, etc.Β But I don't see any resemblance else than the belly and a bit the shoes! Anyways, it's very well done, like usual!

The sprites are from the game Knuckles Chaotix--the artists took Sonic's sprites and copied the anatomy/poses for Mighty. Β All the other characters in the game have unique anatomy/posing, so this is why he's called a Sonic recolor. Β He literally is!
Anyway, aside from that, yeah, they're not very similar! Β Mighty's my absolute favorite, so I'm glad you like him too!

I think it'd be really cool if someone made a co-op fan game in sonic worlds or something were you and your friend had to use team moves to beat the levels, like, say for only mighty could roll on spikes, and you would have to use him as a bridge, I dunno, something like that. I think it would be really cool.
