Description
I'm sorry that this picture is so gigantic, but this tutorial will teach fursuiters how to make their own fursuit heads with wire frames. I know that most tutorials use foam, but I wanted to be different.Wolfbird's "follow-me eyes" tutorial can be found here: [link]
Also, if you use my design for your fursuit, please give me some sort of credit! It would be great if you let people know that RoseHexwit helped you with your fursuiting. :3
EDIT: I submitted this tutorial several years ago. It's very outdated. Haters are going to hate, but I've made two heads since this one that look WAY better.

Do you know how I can make that jaw to "not moving jaw"?
I'm stupid and my English isn't perfect so I don't get it.

Instead of hooking the jaw onto the rest of the head, just glue it in like any other part of the head.

I used 16-gauge copper wire. It's found in the jewelry section of the craft store. The larger the size, the thinner the wire. You could get away with 14-gauge if you see it, but 18-gauge isn't thick enough to support any weight.

thanks! actually, i tried that, and it worked wonderfully! i'm just about to cover my mask in fabric. actually, tweaked the design because i ran out of wire, so the jaw is seperate from the mask.

I HAD NO IDEA SO MANY PEOPLE LOOKED LIKE ME....
We should start a club or something for people who look like us.
Also, good tutorial. I think this will help out a lot of beginners who don't have access to some of the more expensive materials for fursuiting.

now I've seen everything.... I didn't know you could make a head out of wire (but I have seen chicken wire, this is very creative!
if you are going for cheapness then I can top this... I used to use left over cardboard... it was free, and it looked nice ^^

Not a one. Everyone says I'm not good enough to sell my heads to other people. I just have to keep practicing and getting better.
I'm working on another head. I know what I did wrong, so this time it'll look better. :3
