Actually, it's of a pirated CD. XD I even have the CS2 version now(alas, pirated too). Of course, with very low price too.. Only around USD 1.5 something.
I don't think the difference is going to be really great if it's only apart by one or two versions. And I'm pretty sure whatever tools I've elaborated in the tutorial have been on even earlier versions of photoshop. Probably only placed at different menus and all.. Look closely, experiment with stuffs. Suppose you'll find it.
By the way, what looks silver and black?? o_0 The menus I suppose?

Cool so this is how you do it nice
I'd try it but I don't have photoshop... or an artprogram with all the features you use

Yes, for other image editing programs you could adapt and try finding the same working features.. But you did say yours is a trial version right?
Why not try finding a crack of some sort?

KuriosiT-kat In reply to Router-Jax [2007-03-14 12:02:36 +0000 UTC]
Yeah... it's a trial version... in that there are a whole lot of removed functions>.< Which is unfortunate... however all that means is that I'll need to go about things a diferent way and actually study how you pic colours>.< ah well maybe somday I'll have photoshop

Can be a pain. *w* That.
Well you can also download it off many clients, particularly P2P and torrents. Still remember the torrent community link I gave you for that game? Particularly it also offers torrents of various kinds- applications, movies, etc.
Register and.. Download using a torrent client. Like, here's Photoshop CS2, a bit different.. But could work the same. [link]
Massive file size though, 1.51 GB..

Yeah I'd download it if first of all it's the mac version and if Torrent would just work fo rme for once>.< sigh... I guess I'll have to wait for the next mac and hope it's more compatible>.<

Router-Jax In reply to KuriosiT-kat [2007-03-15 07:01:18 +0000 UTC]
Wait.. Photoshop requires OS compatibility? Sigh, have luck with it then. Though I think that one's for Windows.
Yep.. Apparently so. Might just be what mac needs to do, even the older versions of it are way superior than Vista, supremacy in compatibility would boost its sale.. And eventually leads to more efficient OS. I wish that could happen. I've had enough with Windows(that only seem to get worse as it gets updated more).

KuriosiT-kat In reply to Router-Jax [2007-03-15 14:30:43 +0000 UTC]
Yeah unfortunately almost all programs like that need to be compatible...
Yeah it is in a sens. Or at least to enlarge there sales so as to have more programs available for these kinds of things. I like macs for their reliability and how they work so even with all the compatibility problems I still like them much better than most if not all PCs...

Router-Jax In reply to KuriosiT-kat [2007-03-16 08:23:06 +0000 UTC]
Yes.. I ought to expect that.
Unlike Microsoft, Mac messed up when it decides to not have an open market(where it is only sold between select dealers).. Microsoft however did the otherwise, like they say, a bigger group is more likely to be deceived compared to a small one. This is Gates' art. Deceiving people into buying his crap.
With Windows you see, problems such as lagging, not responding and sudden errors in programs always occur. And it only seem to get worse as they update it more. Not to mention the hardware performance required. I heard Vista is one money-eating OS.

KuriosiT-kat In reply to Router-Jax [2007-03-17 00:07:54 +0000 UTC]
yeah in a sens they messed up but then that's also a way to insure quality. in that they know that they won't have people abuse the quality and stuff... It also means that they can keep track of their products better... ah well...
Yeah I hear of all sorts of problems...
As for Vista yeah it's going to be expensive... mainly because the quality will be much better... because that's the system that's going to be used to be compatible with the new mac. and like I said Macs want quality!>.<

Basically the method goes as finding what setting's right in your sense. Takes time to get used to though.
One tip, the setting above is for a mid-sized subject scanned in hi-res. Decrease/Increase the setting as according to your drawing's scale/dpi. It'll help a lot.

HeisT-HeX In reply to Router-Jax [2007-03-18 08:43:09 +0000 UTC]
What is ur standard dpi setting?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Router-Jax In reply to HeisT-HeX [2007-03-18 08:50:08 +0000 UTC]
600dpi. Premium setting. It can get higher/lower than that, depending on the complexity & density of the lineart. The main purpose is so that the tools are able to work exquisite detail without much restriction. As you see.. A smaller dpi scan can get very annoying to colour, since every tools' feather works only on a specific gap between one setting and another, like.. 1px feather to 2px feather... I don't know if you can do anything such as anything between the two, but it gets very limited at times.

Well, i usually adjustthe wand tolenrace settting from 16 to 48 depends on the situation to get the right selection, but I also use Expand/contract menu to adjust the size too.
I tend to use 300dpi when the artwork is for web-use only.

So long it's comfortable to work with, it's ok.
It can get very varied, depending on what kind of lineart you're colouring on. And the way of variating it too can get very varied.

Router-Jax In reply to GiNe-M [2007-03-15 08:12:42 +0000 UTC]
With the many words I suppose. I had a hard time explaining myself, since this is more to theory than actual skill. Really.
Hmm.. You use windows right? Try opening the windows task manager(Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and look over the 'processes' tab... Look in the list if there is any photoshop being run. If you found it, click on it and click on the end process button. Try to rerun Photoshop afterwards.
The case is sometimes Windows open the program you want to run more than once, resulting in an error due to running out of allocated memory. Though, Im not truly sure if this is the case.
Or have you tried reinstalling it?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
GiNe-M In reply to Router-Jax [2007-03-26 01:15:31 +0000 UTC]
Sigh... I'll try uninstalling it...
My installer is with my friend back home though... So if I uninstall it...
I'll just get the trial versions then..^^

Router-Jax In reply to GiNe-M [2007-03-26 04:28:16 +0000 UTC]
Too bad, then might as well try not to. Too risky. Or instead of uninstalling, you might want to check whether PS comes with repair/fixing option in its uninstallation interface. That might help.
Hmm.. Next time how about copying the whole installer content into your computer? That way you can install/uninstall in case emergency occurs. It's not like the setup file is that big either, only around 500MB++.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Router-Jax In reply to GiNe-M [2007-06-15 07:07:53 +0000 UTC]
No, I wouldn't really recommend on getting an update to Vista. Sure it had more new features, but then there's more bugs as well, way more than XP. And whatnot it requires really powerful wares or it wouldn't work.
Unless you're a serious gamer, then get this, for it's the only system that supports DirectX 10. That's as if it's 2 generations past nowadays' super consoles. With Wii, 360 & PS3 utilizing DX 8. Then again you can only get PC games with it... >_>
If work is what'd you look for with it, then I'd say no. In fact, better get either Apple/Mac. They've had the technologies Vista have since long ago, without the bugs too. Only if you don't mind about incompatibility issues. >.<

Router-Jax In reply to GiNe-M [2007-08-19 01:09:10 +0000 UTC]
I use a pc by the way.
Mac.. Unless you're willing to start through the basics again, don't dare to try one. Apart from incompatibility issues, it works so differently than windows. Unlike in windows, just navigating around even requires keyboard commands. >_> ..Let alone when you do works...
But, it's kind of like made pure for working. May be hard to work with, but it processes data with lesser lags and failures, Even I am finding comfort in using it for works. Then again maybe that's because you can't really put anything else in it apart from compatible programs.
Which are, very few of it.

Oh. And a mac is usually prone to not being suited for hardware upgrading.. Since unlike PCs. Disessambling a Mac is as hard as it looks. >_> Let alone finding the components for it.. Not to mention that they're not compatible with many hardwares/softwares.
