I recall you saying earlier that Bane's Venom in Earth-27 is more potent and can make him strong enough to hurt Superman, is that correct?

Roysovitch In reply to drawntogetha4ever [2017-07-20 04:15:54 +0000 UTC]

Yes. It is also created using Lazarus Pit chemicals. Also, part of the reason for that is that E27 Superman is weaker than normal as well.

Even if Supes is significantly depowerd in E-27, his "Meet the Cast" file says he's capable of lifting up to 400 tons. So doesn't that still make Bane a little overpowered compared to Batman?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to drawntogetha4ever [2017-07-20 07:15:05 +0000 UTC]

Not sure what lifting capacity has to do with anything. Bane can't lift 400 tons. What Supes can lift isn't reflective of what kind of damage he can sustain.
Bane juicing up to lay the smack against Supes is going to deplete his venom tank quickly and severely tax his body for a while.

Bane also prides himself on not requiring his venom as it clouds his mind. His biggest failure is also his greatest achievement. He broke the Bat, but he used Venom to do it and the venom caused him to deviate from the plan and allowed Batman to escape. Thus he prefers not to use Venom against Batman unless he is desperate.

Does Bane still serve the League? Same question for Copperhead.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to drawntogetha4ever [2017-07-21 02:10:33 +0000 UTC]

Yes. Bane is Ubu, Ra's al Ghul's bodyguard when Ra's travels away from his court.

Copperhead remains a member of the Black Glove, in service to Nyssa.

Bane's Name is Edmund Dorrance.

That is King Snake.
Originally I was going to name Bane Eduardo Dorrance but did not know if we were ever going to get to King Snake so opted out

Bird, Zombie, and Trogg are way obscure. Saw no reason to include them in Earth-27.

More obscure than the neon biker leader from Batman Forever?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to drawntogetha4ever [2017-07-23 22:23:22 +0000 UTC]

I would say so, yes... As most people who have seen Batman Forever or Batman and Robin will remember the neon Schumacher gangs but I doubt most comic fans will offhand know the name of Bane's prison buddies.
But hey if you want to sponsor Bird, Zombie, and Trogg like the person who sponsored the Neon Gang Leader did, be my guest and then I'll gladly include them.

I actually first learned about Bird from a side-mission in Arkham Origins. But even if Bird and he other specifically won't come to E-27, did Bane still get free his other (anonymous) prison mates?

Roysovitch In reply to Fanpiece [2017-04-30 19:51:54 +0000 UTC]

In Earth-27, Bane is affiliated with the League of Assassins. In the timeline of this continuity, in 2007, Bane was one of four assassins sent to Gotham to bring about an end to Batman. Together, they were called the Four Horsemen and had the names of apocryphal demons: Lilith, Abaddon, Dumah, and Azrael.

I do seem to have a hard time doing a part two for some villains. I'll try to work on that.

hey roy, HUGE fan of earth 27! i was wondering if you'd ever do a MARVEL earth 27 (although it probably wouldn't be called earth 27) it would be freaking awesome!!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to funkyfruitloops [2017-04-02 19:58:37 +0000 UTC]

At one point, I was going to step away from E27 this year to work on my reimagining of the X-Men but Earth-27 just became too popular. Also, Rufusade commissioned Phil to do versions of the X-Men that are pretty close to what I was imagining doing anyway, so I didn't really see the point in going through with that idea at that time. But I'd be open to picking up that X-Men idea and fully exploring it later if there was still some demand for it and if E27 slowed down at some point, though I'd also like to do more with my other projects like Zodiac Pack, Erebus Saga, Sarah Shift, and NeOlympus too.

As for the whole Marvel universe, I don't know if I could even consider exploring another whole universe anytime soon so if I did do the X-Men, they'd be in a self-contained universe where there are no superheroes or supervillains and it would mostly just focus on the mutants' fight for equal rights. If there are characters I'd borrow from the Marvel extended universe would be reworked so as to play a part in a mutant-centric story.

Love the story (probably because I'm a sucker for Bane, since he IS my favorite Bat-villain)
Minor nitpick, it should actually be El Punto del Tiburon rather that Punto de Tiburon (since the latter actually is traduced to ''Point of Shark'' rather that, the Point of the Shark(s) )

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to Nova20X [2017-04-02 15:09:25 +0000 UTC]

Translate 'Shark Point' from English to Spanish and you get "Punto de TiburΓ³n". Also,Β Punto DeΒ TiburΓ³nΒ is the name of the area taken straight from the comics.Β I don't think it was meant to be 'Point of the Sharks', but rather simply 'Shark Point'.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nova20X In reply to Roysovitch [2017-04-02 15:33:39 +0000 UTC]

It translates directly to that but I don't know if it's supposed to mean that, if it's a place it should technically be ''El Punto del Tiburon''
Maybe it's a Lost in Translation type of thingΒ Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Roysovitch In reply to Nova20X [2017-04-02 15:52:13 +0000 UTC]

I took the name of the place from the comics. I was fairly certain that Tiburon meant shark and punto meant point so I went to Google and asked it to translate 'Shark Point' to make certain that is what the place's name meant. I got Punto de Tiburon so I was like "Okay, good. The comic creators probably did more research than I am willing to do at this moment," and left it at that.
This is why I like to stick to fictional locales in Earth-27 as much as possible. The way I like to look at it is that who knows what kind of variations Santa Priscans use in their Spanish. Maybe they speak 'Santa Priscan' which is like a butchered Spanish. It's the same basic idea I use with the League of Assassins' names. There may be seven different ways to say 'The Bat' in Arabic and I don't speak the language myself. I go to Google Translate and take the spelling that looks the best to me. If it's not conjugated correctly for the context or whatever, I don't care. The League's "Arabic" might be an ancient dialect that only a small regional tribe spoke when Ra's was only thirty years old that they only use as part of their naming rituals in accordance with League Tradition.

Nova20X In reply to Roysovitch [2017-04-02 16:01:24 +0000 UTC]

Admidetly Santa Prisca's Spanish must have a f-ton of variations since it probably has prisioners from different nationalities but most possibly it has a lot of Hispanic prisioners from arround the island (which I think is arround Centre America as far as I know since it was mentioned that it is on El Caribe), so yeah, most possibly they do talk some sort of 'Santa Priscan' version of Spanish.
As per the Arabic and the many different translations, I can't judge you either on that (heck, there is proably a lot of different ways to say certian words on Spanish and they all at the end mean the same, just written differently).

Nothing really. Just a thought in my head. Jist haven't acted on it one way or another.
I know Bane has a relationship with either Talia or Nyssa at some point as Ra's began grooming him for leadership after he broke the Bat, but before and after that, I could see him having a thing with Larissa.
I also have this idea of him and Cheetah for some reason.
