Description
NOTE : This isn't really a tutorial, but since there are a few people asking me how i did my shadings crisp-like, so i've decided to show how i did it (altho i'm not sure if i did it in this way myself OwO;; ). So this serves as a pointer for those who might want to try and add a bit of these into their own ways of doing it.Warning :This is for those who are a mouser only, and that have the time and patience to do cell shading one at a time. And that for those who love to do raw crisp cell shadings, not the soft-type shadings.
Nothing much to be explained, since most of them are already mentioned. But i'd like to point out that if you are doing the highlight on the hair, you can either do it on a new normal layer or just do it on the hair layer itself (which is why i've eyedropped the original color of the hair so that i can just wipe off the mess for the highlight job with the paintbrush). I usually hates to do new layer since it'll usually cover up the lineart below it anyways. But it's up to you to decide. I'm just doing my part in showing on how i did it.
Cell shading style (no dodge tool involved). If it's too crisp, just use the blur tool at the edges. I love the way it is for my part.
Make sure you know where the light source is coming from so your shadings will look and make much more sense. I usually ignored that rule so do not follow my example if you want perfection (i'm pretty much of a person who didn't really care of perfection and usually did it on instinct).
Now you know why my cell shade is crisp and not that wobbly even if i use a mouse. Kind of. :/ since this is only half of my secret. No trick there tho since it's basic.

That's a nice way of shading. I also discovered my way of shading (but I need to learn more by myself). Normally I set the whole drawing layer on Multiply and I color it with the help of polygonal lazzo. Yep, it's easier that way... at least for me.

polygonal lasso is easier? T_T how come it's so frustrating for me? I can get it right at all.

You`re making it so complicated!
I also CG with a mouse... But I do MUCH more details on CGing! (check out)
But in the end your pic turned out great!

complicated? easy for me :3
Nah i usually hate to do details much. This is just a basic pointer for newbies (or for those who's one of a lazy arse to do details).

music! of course!
Drawing is the time where you can just sit there and listen to all your music. And it inspires.
Music is really the most important point of this tut.
I LOVE MUSIC!!1

You could lock the transparency in the layers so you didn't have to keep cleaning up when you went out of the lines.

i like to do mine the messy way ;3 besides, this is just a basic pointer really. Doesn't really require for you to actually do the same way as i do.

Haha. Okee. Just making sure you weren't putting yourself through more work then you had to. I guess it is kind of fun to clean it up and see the picture under the messy stuff.

Just a question from me
What version of Photoshop do you use? I'm using Photoshop Elements but there seems to be diffrences between normal photoshop and photoshop elements. Like, when I looked in the screenshots, it showed on the toolbar..thing... that there were different kinds of the pain bucket that you can use. However, on P. Elements, there's only one kind. Also, from other tutorials I've looked at, I've toticed that some versions of Photoshop can make certain kinds of layers, or something of the sort. I'd really like to know, since I'm trying to find out which version of Photoshop I should get now. (Elements just isn't that good.)

Hm.. well i used Adobe Photoshop 8 tho. :\ It's great in my opinion, Adobe Photoshop CS is good too but if you just want to do normal CG work, 8 would be suffice. They're basically the same (CS and 8)

I think it's very generous of you to show how you color. I can't color at all. Maybe I should ask for Adobe Photoshop for my Birthday coming up now that I know a few tools and uses from you. ^_~ I liked this so I hope you don't mind that I add it to my favorites. ^-^
