ok I have a brand new laptop and my paint program doesn't show any of the things you are talking about when I do ctrl + e it only gives me the aspect ratio of the picture PLEASE HELP!

No it doesn't, but you can get the old version of Paint at: [link]
This may give you trouble when trying to save files, but you can just copy and paste into the original Paint to save/load if needed.

Well, this is super complicated, but very cool at the same time.
Okay, first: How do you have the gradient bar and the character you want to color open at the same time?
Second, how do you make the select tool transparent?
Otherwise, very useful and cool, never thought Paint would really be good at much XD

maybe it's what Im doing wrong? D: I set the first color as the color i wanted to change, and when i held shift and moved the graident over it, it wouldnt work D:

You have to have the select tool set to be transparent. x] you try that?

i figured it out! : D I was clicking shift AFTER i was moving it around. i had to clock and hold shift, THEN move it around =w=

cool! i knew how to do this with the rainbow gradient in publisher but i never thought of doing it with a normal colour and i never knew you could gradient in paint... XD

Awesome! Incase you didn't know, there is a spelling mistake... it's in the middle bar, 5th line, last word. It says 'yoru'
