Description
In 2001, Masahiro Sakurai developed the critically acclaimed sequel to Super Smash Bros. But what if the characters in this series of games were chosen by Disney? Let us look into this alternate timeline, and witness the game known as Disney All-Stars Melee.

You may notice that the graphics are updated. Assuming this game were made for the Playstation 2 (it's possible that in this timeline, Nintendo helped Sony make the Playstation), the graphics would be WAY better than our Melee. You also may notice that there's one extra character slot. That's because while Super Smash Bros. Melee had 25 playable characters, one of those characters was Zelda, and Zelda could transform into Sheik. So, the alternate reality version of this game will contain 26 fighters.

The Seven Dwarfs

Melee famously added the Ice Climbers and Mr. Game & Watch, to represent Nintendo's retro games. So, I picked the Seven Dwarves, since Snow White & the Seven Dwarves was Walt Disney's first ever feature film. The Dwarves would play similar to the Ninja Turtles in Injustice 2. You could select either Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, or Dopey to play as, with the 6 other dwarves jumping in during your special attacks. Next, we have Chip & Dale. The Ice Climbers were two fighters in one, so Chip & Dale would be the exact same concept. And yeah, they'd probably have been scaled up. Oh, I didn't put Gadget in any of the later rosters. She's an Assist Trophy. Next, to replace Young Link, it's Young Simba. Simba's childhood is equally as important to the story of The Lion King as is Simba as, well, the king.

Since Mickey is our Mario, we're also adding two new characters from the Mickey Mouse cartoons. If we have Mickey and Donald, we also need Goofy. And if Melee added Bowser, Disney Melee would add Pete, the big grouchy sailor who's always bullying Mickey. Then there's Donald's uncle, Scrooge McDuck. His pogo stick cane could be his down special, and he could have the Moon from the Ducktales NES game as a stage. Maybe even the Money Bin! We'll also add Jasmine, Genie, and Jafar. Jasmine would summon her pet tiger to attack or maybe even use a scimitar. Genie would just be pure chaos, attacking with cartoon physics and whatnot. Unfortunately, Jafar would be a clone of Tron, since Ganondorf was a clone of Captain Falcon. The final new guys from a previous franchise are Piglet, Pooh's timid little friend, and Eeyore, the depressed donkey cursed with eternal bad luck. By the way, I once had a dream that Eeyore was added to Smash. I don't know why my subconscious decided that this made sense, but it did.

And finally, the fighter who would become a fan favorite: Sora! "But wait," I hear you say. "Kingdom Hearts came out in 2002! It didn't exist yet!" True, but it was announced in May of 2001, six months before the release of Super Smash Bros. Melee in our universe. So, I imagine Sora would've been added to promote Kingdom Hearts, like how Roy was added to Melee before his game came out. In fact, Roy's game, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, was released one day after Kingdom Hearts! But, there's the issue of Square Enix. Can we really call Sora a Disney character when he was created by Tetsuya Nomura, the guy from Square? I see it like Amingo from Marvel VS Capcom, Deku from Fighters Megamix, or Kyo from King of Fighters. He's a character created for a crossover series. I mean, the whole plot of Kingdom Hearts is that Sora travels between different Disney worlds. Maybe Sora could've been the main protagonist of both Kingdom Hearts and Disney All-Stars!

Oh, and Kairi's also there. I made a conscious choice to not include many Disney Princesses, and that's because of Kairi. Kairi's called the "Princess of Heart," and she's connected to six other princesses: Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Alice, Jasmine, and Belle. Half of those aren't technically princesses, but whatever. So, Kairi will be representing all the classic Disney Princesses. Since Jasmine and Alice are playable characters, maybe Kairi could have special victory quotes when playing against them. You know who else had special win quotes connected to another character? Robin in Super Smash Bros. 4. Just so you know, I'm gonna turn Kingdom Hearts into the Fire Emblem of Disney. You have been warned.
