I'm not a 'Kiara-hater' or anything, but I have to pick on her here. She always seems so hyper, yet I always pictured Kopa as a little less full of energy and more down to earth. Here, Kiara has the personality of a small child who wants to constantly play; Kopa, here, has the personality of someone older who doesn't feel like playing anymore, yet Kiara insists.Of course, this would be if Kopa had been put in the second movie along with Kiara, rather than him being replaced by her.

Kiara never replaced Kopa, as he's NOT canon, he was made by GriolerBooks not Disney. And all Kopa did was listen to stories, whine and cry over everything, so I don't see how he's "down to earth"

That would make an interesting sequel. As a dad, Simba would try to avoid taking favorites in an attempt to avert a repeat of what happened with Scar. By the end of The Lion King II, I am sure either Zazu or Rafiki (or perhaps both) would be dead, so Kopa could fill one of those roles.

There was originally a son (not Kopa, as Disney were unaware of Kopa) but he got ditched when they thought that the plot would be overcomplicated.

The Lion King IS for children; though some adults actually enjoy the film. I;ve seen come across TLK-realted stuff and whine about it. Its best not complain about stuff or more or less don;t comment at all.

In the books, Kopa was a very curious cub, I don't think he would be annoyed by kiara. I actually think that they would get along perfectly,becuase they would be going on those fun adventures together. But, his expression iz priceless.

Kopa was in a series of Lion King books released not too long after the movie. At the end of the movie, Simba and Nala clearly have a male cub, which is changed to a female cub for the sequel. Well, before that sequel, a series of 6 books were released in which the cub was named Kopa. Kopa was a split image of young Simba, but with a brown hair tuft.
