I am indeed impressed. I'm suprised I haven't seen some of your work in UT3 or UT2004 with the work you do I would have expected to have seen some superior character designs. especially with the steampunk type eva-looking characters you have on the sample sheet. Very cool looking indeed.

since this is the coolest stuff i have seen in a long time, do you mind a mini interview?
1-HEY, DO YOU WORK FOR A GAME COMPANY?
2-do you model, texture and rig all these yourself?
3-do you only use color maps?
4-do you do commissions?
5-what program do you use?
6-do you offer any tutorials?
7-how long have you been modeling?
8-can you offer any tips?
this is great work!

The details are so amazing especially the monster models. How long does it take you to model and to texture a single character?

they way I se it all of this textures is painted whit a fixed light,
if we take doom 3 for a example. The light that you hade painted in your textures will look wirrd if they run in a a nearly dark room in the doom game, (where is the light comming from thats in the textures when the character is in the dark room?)
So try to paint textures thats aiming for that kind of games. if you whould like to try out somthing new

If you put my character in a final fantasy engine, it's gonna be ok because they don't use normal mal stuff and all this light effect .
I'm not really interested about next gen stuff for yet.. sorry for that
But yes I work with normal map to my company..... that's not really a pleasure for say right, texture work is not interested at all :/
I'll probably update my website in coming month with some normalmaped stuff.

Totally impressed! The mossy characters remind me a lot of something one might see in shadow of the colossus.

EricMor > don't worry about his game developer carrier, he's already working on professional games and some amateurish ones.
Here he's only complaining about artistic direction

Yeah, here's some "WAYS" i have for you:
-3D gamestudio from Conitec
-Torque from Garagegames
-RPG Maker XP from Enterbrain
Before you complain about the last, check out my Youtube page and see how 3D realtime characters can be used in a 2D game:
[link]
You'll find examples my of 3D gamestudio work too.
3D gamestudio is useful for it's vertice animation acceptance, but only go for torque after you created some backgrounds and snapshots for easy programmer recruiting, since the app needs lots of programmers to work well.
By the way, already inserted mouth an expression on the anime characters? That's important too.

i like your cartoony style because with that specific style you can step beyond the boundaries of reality and get away with it and do things that would not look as good on a realistic looking character.

your stuff is still awesome!
i am looking through them again and i think "omg cool"
i think you are really good in arranging the texture on the uv so you dont waste too much space
also i love the style of the characters~
pretty anime-like like it would be used in ps2 anime rpgs with funny characters with lots of personality, cool weapons and awesome combo-attacks
also your models seem to be very detailed and when i look on the mesh i think "omg thats not many polys", so i guess you are good in using polys where it is neceserry
and you seem to be very creative, detail addicted(but without overdoing it, just putting enough detail into it so it looks interesting, but not too much so it still looks "plain" and "clean") and motivated
i love this fantastic design of this colossus-meets-howls-moving-castle-thing
i so want to see it in action/in a game
well~ i guess this comment wasnt really helpful to point a direction...
but it expresses that i love your stuff and i hope you dont lose this style when discovering a new... just adding it to it
hope you can find your way ^_^
