So, I know you're probably not going to respond to this since I'm sure you have about eighty thousand notifications a day, but it's worth a shot. Do you paint over the top of your line art at some point, or do you just erase the line art? If you do paint over it, at what point do you do so? I see that you block in the colors underneath the lines, but by the time you're done shading, the lines have mostly gone away.

I have a very cartoony style, which works well for me, but I want to decrease my dependence on the solid, uber-perfectionist line art that I use. And tips (from anyone really, since Sandara will respond when pigs fly) would be very helpful!

Just a random suggestion, You can set the layer of your line art to multiply or darken, as well as fiddle around with the opacity of it to take the edge off.

Yeah I always set it to multiply, but it still looks....not how I want it to. Idk, I'll just have to experiment I guess.

This really showed me a lot. I barely got into Photoshop when I was taking introductory Graphic Design classes in college, but after that semester I wasn't able to go back. So I've never really been shown or were able to figure out exactly how to color, draw w/o vector, and all the things in between. Most of the videos on youtube are crap and I'm so glad I found your tutorials. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this and post this for everyone <3 :joy:

Can i ask you one quick question? Did you do the highlight on the same multiply layer as the shadow? because when i pick the lighter color it becomes a darker tone. How di you do the highlight?
