I notice the lines go away upon setting the layer to multiply....
I'm not really sure what you're doing here in that case... I thought you had one layer with the sketch, then another with the flats, then another with the shadows...
So, are you doing something along the lines of a layer with flat colors set to normal mode, this layer is beneath the layer where the sketch was made. The layer that the sketch was made on is set to multiply and painted over and renamed as the shadows layer.

Do you generally paint right over your sketch, or on a seperate layer?

It's actually pretty close to the same for Macs and PCs. I used both in school, but my own personal computer is a PC.
Shortcuts for Macs (that I remember):
Spacebar for hand tool
[ and ] to change brush size
Command+S to save
I've never used d or b shortcuts, and to switch to eraser I just use the eraser end of my tablet pen, so I don't know the shortcut for that either.
Another useful shortcut is z, which switches foreground and background colors. ;3

Nice tutorial!
I was wondering.. how did you do the outline cleaning?
Did you erased the outlines a little? or did you made a new layer over it (with colour)?
I really like ur drawing style
