Description ok, here's my first tutorial... i hope it's of some help to at least some people = =;;; i dont know if its actually helpful...or if it even makes sense.

anyway, this is a basic guide to the brushes i use. ( 3 only haha) and some general tips at the end.

Here's the link to download the custom brush

can these kind of effects be done using the mouse? or do I need the tablet

There is a setting for simulated pen pressure that you can use with the mouse. I think it's under the brush options... I think it might limit your strokes to a certain length, however. It's been a while since I used it, I'm sorry I can't tell you more.

(Also, sorry for digging up an old comment!)

You can do most of it with the mouse but some brushes are pressure sensitive for the tablets and you won't be able to block in like displayed above.

What do you mean by cleaning up the outlines? Like, after you put the layer into multiply, how to you make the piece go from a rough sketch to smooth outlines? I've always wondered that.

This is FABULOUS! Not only is this amazingly helpful, but the artwork is beautiful too! Thanks so much for even providing the brush, this has to be one of the most user-friendly tuts I've seen.
If you do make more tuts in the future, the only advice I'd say is some more screenshots of the process.
Thanks again!

hey, i can't find airbrush like in this tutorial in photoshp cs3
there are only basic brush and other!! someone please tell me T__T

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Iceedragons In reply to SnowVallen [2010-07-14 19:10:52 +0000 UTC]

okay, up in the top left hand corner, you should see a picture of a brush with a drop down box. Click the box. In CS3 the name for the airbrush is "Airbrush Soft Round 50% Flow". You can download other airbrushes but that is the only one that comes with Photoshop CS3.

Apparently, sandra uses a different Photohsop but this airbrush works the same and it gives the same effect.
