This may be an odd question but, is there some sort of gimp version of the Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow Brush? My computer doesn't have the memory for photoshop >.>

maybe i am missing something, but you aren't actually teaching how to color, you basically say "part five we color in dragon" and skip over that actual process?

i wonder how you paint and make a line where change the pincel (sorry i cant explain very well)
i mean, first the brush is thin, then fatter, and then thin again. When i draw that in photoshop is always the same, without change (but in paint tool sai it changes)
I look for google but i didnt found anything ,probably because i doesnt know how to look ;___; can you pls gimme a link where someone explain that?
i would totally love you ;___;

Go to the brushes tab (F5) and check the Shape Dynamics box c:
If that doesn't work (or it's already checked) click on Pen Pressure itself, and make sure Size Jitter is set to Pen Pressure c:

I find it amazing you are working with such a rough lineart here. It seems very free spirited and painty- I wouldn't know where to begin! You are so talented..

Thank you so much for this tutorial =3 I always had issues figuring out how to build up a background (I tried to throw in too much detail straight away), but this helped immensely!

Only one of the screenshots here show your actual photoshop layers. Judging by that, do you merge layers after you have finished with the multipy and dodge layers? If so, how do you work in more colors later?

thanks so much! this was great! im so glad you decided to post this and share your brushes. i see so many artists try to keep all their techniques/brushes so secret. idk maybe the dont realize that actual skill always plays a role. techniques and brushes dont make or break you I suppose idk lol, rambling. great stuff, i found it to be very inspirational to my plight. my sword has grown old and rusty I needed a polishing up! Thanks again! sorry for the long comment ; ;

Sorry for asking, but I'm using the brush you use for coloring (Airbrush pen Opacity flow) and started to color on a multiply layer, but when I do it only becomes a darker shade of the color in the background, is there something I've missed, am I suppose to change brush or am I not suppose to color on a multiply layer?
Please help, really want to get into using airbrush.
Love all your art btw

Do you provide video tutorials? This is amazing and your presentation reminds me somewhat of Bob Ross in that your beginning stages encourage spontinuity for beginner artists. Your tutorials are superb with ease of reading, presentation, and detailed description of how Photoshop works in painting. Again, great work!

Fantastic tutorial! This really helped a lot. I tried downloading the brush, which I really really wanted to try out, but sadly it's not compatible with my version of PS, PS7...You must have Photoshop CS? Is there any way you can make the brush compatible with other PS versions?

Thanks so much for the tutorial! It's really helpful!
When I click the link, all that shows up is a wall of text. How do I go about downloading the brush? T^T
