How do you get the Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow brush? I have no idea where to get that option. Do you know if it's available in CS4?

Is this an interpretation of a certain book about a Chinese dragon, small girl and an "orb?" Kingdom of the Golden Dragon, I think.

Hi, this is very nice picture and tutorial, I like it much, but my sketches look almost like yours (especially if I draw it with tablet but not real pencil). And I have a problem with making lineart (as I see You simply don't do it in this tutorial), because it's very hard for me to do clean and as nice as the sketch lineart (lines are curve and not as vivid as I need). Don't You have some advice for me?

This brush is interesting, was always wondering if there wasn't an option to combine darkness and brush size through pen pressure without looking into the brush tools myself!

Thanks very much for this very helpful tutorial. Love it!
How ever, I've got a question. Do you start the sketch with some vision of how you want it to look like when it is done, or do you just make it up as you progress through the picture?

More than one question
you apply the basic color on a muliply layer, doesn't that cause problems when your shade since its transparent? And do you have the shading on a layer above the basic with muliply? and when you merge the basic color layer and the lineart do you do that in the beging or at the end?

Sorry since i'm asking so meny questions
i'm really fasinated of your tecnike

PS: the custome brush works on Cs2

Thank you so so so much for the tutorial *_*!

I had a question! In the very, very last panel...where you added more colors and "brightened up the girl" with orange. What kind of layer did you use? I'm guessing it couldn't have been a multiply layer, because the colors can't get brighter with multiply, right? Was it a regular "normal" layer? Thank you ;_;!!

Your tutorial is very great. I love how you break everything down--the mini coloring tutorials such of the coloring of the eyes and gems is an especially nice touch. I have added the whole tutorial to my favorites and I am looking forward to painting my own scene using this as guidance.

This is a wonderful tutorial. ^^ But i have a question on the brush. I have cs3 but when i click on the link, i just get a little line with a bunch of numbers and letters. what do i do with it to make it work as a brush?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sandara In reply to Dream-Scapes [2009-06-06 02:17:13 +0000 UTC]

i think you need to enable your browser to let you download files with funny extensions... coz it's a .abr file...

you then go into photoshop, under your brush, select load brushes...and load that abr file. the brush should then appear right at the bottom of the list of brushes.
