It doesn't seem to work for me... I tried this tutorial on the old ms paint and I tried the second tutorial on the new ms paint but I still get the same result.
Instead of the colors being diagonal they just simply split the center horizontally. I'm not sure what I'm during wrong.

XD Late response... lol
>3> lol playing around with lots of stuff... It was actually done because when I resized a full picture of mine, I saw that it made it kinda blurry, so I just figured... "Why not make two colors blurry and make a gradient or something nice?"

ok so this actually very much helped but im kinda confused in something hehe i can understand how this worked for the whole canvas but what if your doing an image with details and such do you just do that to the whole image?? i don't know if I'm making sense but PLEASE respond I'd love to understand this better ^^

Details such as what? (Also, sorry for my late response.. I use a different account these days XD)
If you're talking about an actual drawing, then no. You have to make that on a separate canvas and then copy and paste it onto the gradient after you're done. (Actually, you do this for basically anything you want to add onto it)

Why didn't I discover this sooner?! I had to make gradients by changing the color over nine thousand times and drawing a stupid line for every one. Your method is so much more... sanity saving.
