thumbs are already create and display on each deviation
You will find it just under the Groups on the right bar tool, on the share tab.
Anyway, if you like this one please check this one : How to suggest a DD it's even more complete and show you everything you need too

No thumbs are automatically create every time someone upload a deviation on deviantart.
You could find them on the left just behind the deviation
but you really don't need to be premium

um..many GMs have certain criterias other than the one that's required for the DD. That should be checked too
