Apophysis Tutorial : GnarlsOK Guyz this is my new tutorial about what ? about GNARLS !
Yeah a lot's of you ask me to make a tutorial about this pattern and here we go my first tutorial about gnarls
This tutorials explain you only the way i make them under Apophysis, there a tons of differents techniques ...
For my own i use 2 plugins :
- Auger ---> a `Xyrus02 Plugin which you could found HERE
- Waves2 ---> in the Aposhack plugin pack of *phoenixkeyblack which you could found HERE
As usual send me your results i will be proud to link them here
Please tweak (change) the variables of auger and waves2 to don't have the excatly same flame than mine
All your result will be display here on this collection

Don't want to butt in on your tuto, it's great, but you should really put the info on brightness somewhere at the very beginning. Also some screenshots of the xform editing screen would be useful, just to confirm I have everything done ok.

When you start a fractal from scratch you never have a brightness or setting at 1

indeed you don't do it wrong
And using Apo 3-D don't affect your fractal the only thing that change it the fact that you can use 3D plugins and some others can't

Cunningly combined! I reckon on five main methods for gnarls, plus a sixth that may or may not qualify...

i know only 3-4 way to make gnarls or things that look likes gnarl

All the waves variations (waves, waves2, wavesn, auger) plus pdj. Then there's a sinusoidal-linked disc-julian, and I've just remembered I once achieved something with ripple!

I hate to sounds like an idiot, but I do not understand the statement to move "1,5 down and 0,5 right."

You activate the post transform, and you go to the triangle tab, instead of 0.1 move you select 0.5 and you click 3 times down and 1 time on the right arrow
