Ok, so I drew Monsturra again. I messed up his head, as it is way to small, but when I got my new scanner, I got a program with it that lets me color my pics on the computer.

I tested it with Monsturra, here. Hopefully, his colors haven't changed since the last time I drew him. Jake said his spikes could be brown or grey, so I used brown this time, and I think it looks more interesting.

Hope it isn't too horrible.

Much as I love your pencils, this is a fairly solid computer-color job....the lime abdomen & dark brown spines/talons stand out against the shades of blue applied to hide & armor alike, and that dark amber eye is equally neat.

As I may have noted on an earlier B&W version, this kaiju-design is pure old-school saurian (albeit a very well-proportioned example), with those cranial hornlets & tusks providing an essential defining feature (much like Godzilla's dorsals, Titanosaurus' fins, Varan's spines/membranes, etc). I do note the creator must've opted to revise/remove those elaborate layered dorsal spikes from a previous version...neat as those were, I can understand why.

Those dorsal plates were a pain in the ass to draw. I thought it looked good with the pair on the head.

Thank you much! It's nice to know I don't compleately suck at computer coloring, though I still much prefer my pencils and markers.

I never actually uploaded the B&W of this one-I didn't like the tiny head. XD

The horns on his nose and the tusk are pretty much the features that say "Monsturra" to me, too.
Jake did opt to take out the rattle spikes on the back, and after drawing them that one time, I can understand why as well.

I wouldn't really worry about the head. I was going to tweak the head a bit anyway (not a huge redesign, probably just make it more bulkier and readd the ears).

Overall, I like it. The colors for the scrutes and belly are a bit bright, but that's ok (could dim it down a bit). And yes, brown does look better than gray. Also, like the scrute designs on the limbs, by the way. I probably just do that. body colorlation (the greyish blue) is pretty good.

Only design complaint is Monsturra's underbelly is divided in two sides like a lizard, not a snake. Just thought i let you know.

very nice job. Regarding the head - does your coloring program allow you to scale objects? You could just try to increase the size of the head in the digital image.

I personally never expected him to be this bright in terms of color but you've done a wonderful job both line and value. The eyes in particular are killer. If you find a way to create highlights it will be even better.

Thanks! Yeah, I think the blue on the shoulders and scutes is a bit bright. The grey blue on his body could stand to be more grey, and the green on his belly might be a bit too..limey. XD I'm only just getting the hang of this program, so hopefully the next pic I color with it will be a bit better.
