Description
This is the first of my four entries into [link] Fakemon design contest. Hopefully not too late!
So here we have Pocalyptus, name derived from Apocalypse and Eucalyptus. Inspiration for this Pokémon came from the infamous inflammability of Eucalyptus trees in australian brushfires, some of these getting so hot it's said that whole trees have exploded as the oils in their tissues were ignited. It's not all bad though, many Eucalypts sprout fresh growth from from roots or buds beneath the bark soon after a fire passes. Pocalyptus of course uses fire as a defense from deadly herbivores. The Koala-like "body" was originally meant to be black and resemble a cartoon bomb, but the lighter, greener skin combined with the tree colors more effectively.
