Description Okay, you may all comment now! ;D

I figured it was time for a Joe pic, but when I thought of Joe, I immediately figured he would do something cute with Frannie. So I drew them doing ballet together. ^w^

I struggled a lot with having to research for appropriate male ballet outfits, and believe me, Joe's was no picnic, so I mustered up the most standard outfit I could think of that goes with Fran's French Renaissance ballet outfit. I'm still a little miffed with how his top (or actually the sleeves of his blouse) came out, but like I said, I wanted to find something to keep simple but not flashy.

Btw just so you guys know, the light direction is coming from unseen stage lights, not the moon. The moon is a prop and doesn't garner any real luminance.

Anywho, I hope you all like it!

Lovely, sweet, romantic, and classy. I love it And you have my sympathy when it comes to male ballet costumes (those things can be very tight) but Joe looks every inch the dashing prince. The shadow of these two on the floor adds a nice touch as well.

Thanks so much! Yeah, male ballet outfits are not fun to research. Just try imagining Joe decked in frills and a baggy ensemble.

Joe as a dashing prince? Yup he most certainly is!

Thanks, the shadow is always fun to do, because when doing pics like this, the best and most dynamic way to really bring characters to life is by giving them the illusion that they're on a 3D plane. C:

Thanks so much! ;D

She needed to try a different style than her usual flip, so curls (esp. for her recital) would be perfect for this occasion. C:

SQEEEEEEE! I've been waiting for you finish this ^^. So worth the wait. Daw they're so cute together. Certainly the best couple in the anime. Both of their outfits can out well. Your research was well worth it.

*downloads the full view* I'm still loving your clouds and texture you've applied to the sky near the moon. It helps balance the rest of the image which is relatively smooth. Btw how did you do their shadow? It's tripping me out with how perfect it is.

Thanks, Terri! Making this was a quite a trip, though there a few things I might go back and tweak on.

Oh the shadow? OH! All you do is (on the layer the characters Joe and Fran are on, preferably the one where they have linework) use the magic wand tool and select, then right-click then go "select inverse", then make a new layer (while still keeping your current layer selected with magic wand tool), then go to the new layer, highlight/select it, then go Edit>Fill>color, then after you get your color, go to Edit>Transform>Perspective, and move it around in any position. To get that blur effect, I just use the blur tool to show the contrast of their shadow length.

That or you can consult this video here! [link]

That makes a lot more sense now. You had me in a fuss there for a while at how perfect it was. A very neat trick indeed.

No probs, it's actually quite simple if you can follow the procedures (the biggest problem I first had when I was doing shadows was making sure only the outer perimeter of the figure was highlighted before using the magic wand tool and doing the fill thing).

Youtube is the best teacher of all Photoshop tutorials.
