Description We went to Disneyland, and Cinderella and Prince Charming (isn't Prince Charming the name of Snow White's husband though? Hmm...) were riding on the merry go round! (I am not dressed up as one of them, we just took the picture). You can even see Perla the mouse in the background. Belle was on the merry go round too, but sadly her pictures turned out blurry. I thought this was pretty cool since usually you don't see them on the rides themselves, only standing in certain spots to give autographs and pictures. I believe they're all wearing the Disneyland 50th Anniversary pins.

Snow White's prince is just 'The Prince'.

Haha good to know! I guess different series will name him differently.

No. In OUAT they just gave Snow Cindy's prince. Unless that's not what you were referring too.

Well, there's also Fables, which refers to Snow White's ex-husband as Prince Charming, and to a certain extent, Ever After High has several Charmings, and initially paired Apple White with one of them (though I think now they have him with the Queen of Hearts? Something like that haha).

oohh <33 lucky!!! Face characters apparently rarely go on rides anymore. Hmm. guess the carousel is an exception ^^ I didn't know the mouse had names except the Jac & Guss~

This was the first (and only) time that I've seen characters on a ride! Unless you count that whole sword in the stone thing as a ride with Merlin. XD

Yep! The other mice have names as well! Although I only happen to know what her name is since I got her autograph. XD

Sword in the Stone? There's a ride w/ Merlin ?????

Oh man, I had this dream of getting all the Disney character's signatures... so impossible haha. Yay for mice<3

ScythicKitty In reply to mikiluvsyuu [2012-05-11 01:16:45 +0000 UTC]

Oh no no, it's not a ride! It's an attraction/show/thing kind of... like where Merlin comes out to that sword in the rock in front of the merry go round and people gather around him and try to take the sword out.

Getting all the signatures! That'd be hard, because some characters only show up in the Florida location! @__@ I only have the older character's though, like none of Bolt or the Incredibles or something. We should compare our autograph books some time though!

oohhh~!! I've seen the Merlin show before on youtube, but never in person haha. How cool *____*

I actually don't have any autograph books. I've seen people take polaroids w/ the characters & have them sign on it & that's what I'm going to try to do next time I go to Dland~ hehe. How many characters do you have?? *___* I really want to hunt down Belle in her blue dress~

ScythicKitty In reply to mikiluvsyuu [2012-05-15 09:29:15 +0000 UTC]

No autograph books? Nooo! I have two! I don't have them with me right now so I'm not sure how many characters I have...but I'm missing all the exclusive ones at Florida for sure though. ^^

I didn't know Belle went around in her blue dress! That's awesome, I have to see this! We shall hunt her down together! I know Mulan comes out in both her soldier (plus horse!) and tea ceremony outfit, but usually just the ceremony one since it's "prettier," even though I'm pretty sure she doesn't like it as much as a character. Does Pocahontus do both of her dresses too?

The autograph books are so pretty(: Do the characters take up the whole page while signing?? I've seen one guy posted Bert's signature but besides signing he drew a picture of Mary Poppins~ hehe so cute(: I'm considering getting one of those Vinylmation(?) things~ the plain one & have all the princesses sign on it.

I think Pocahontas only gets one dress. Boo. =[ All the not 'main' princesses don't get as big & pouffy outfits... I really hate how they did Mulan's dress >< Doesn't look Chinese at all..& no more mermaid Ariel D:

ScythicKitty In reply to mikiluvsyuu [2012-06-04 00:09:36 +0000 UTC]

Autograph books are charming indeed! And speaking of Charming, waaaah I can't wait for the next season of Once Upon a Time! Ahhhhh cliffhanger! XD

Characters usually only take up part of the page, but usually it's big enough that you can only fit one character name per page, unless you count Chip and Dale, who typically sign on the same page. Depending on how much time they have, sometimes they add extra pictures! Like Baloo might just sign it as plain old Baloo, or he might draw some extra trees on it! What is this Vinylmation thing you speak of?

Ah yes, Mulan's dress definitely doesn't look like a traditional Chinese dress when she's walking around Disneyland. Sigh. And Ariel isn't a mermaid any more? Oh no! I thought her signing area would be a permanent thing. Now that I think about it, weren't they doing construction around her area a few years ago? It's been awhile since I've been to Disneyland. We should go some time! Especially now that ~CloudandFeather and ~Pompi are back from Japan! Whee!

Yesss(: I'm so glad you like Once Upon a Time too!! It's such a original take on fairy tales, makes me wonder why not a lot of people are watching it :/ What do you think is gonna happen?? Ohh... do you like Rumple & Belle ?? Red's story made me cry so muh-uh-uhch...

Aww~ I love how characters sign!! For the longest time I wanted to work as a character that was like my dream job hehe. But their signatures are so hard to learn? THAT reminds me! Did you see how one of the actors that was a friend to Peter Pan is getting married with another actress that was a friend to Wendy/ Alice??? <333 So cute(: They won a wedding on a music station!

Vinylmation was kinda like *___* when I first saw it but it's pretty cool now~ It's like this thing that's a Mickey Mouse shape, but they design characters on it~ LINK!

[link]

Yeah... They moved Ariel forever with the other princesses on legs. =[ & Ariel's old place is now Tinker Bell's place.

[link]

^
I love her art<33
We should definitely go(: So expensive though now. grrrr~ Cause they added the new Cars Land have you seen it??? Omg. It looks EXACTLY like the movie. *____* & Lighting McQueen & Mater drives around ... too bad they probably can't give signatures huh? lol.

Once Upon a Time! Squee! Last time when I met up with my sister, we kept talking about it hehe. As weird as this might sound, my favorite character is actually Regina. I know, I know, she's the antagonist, yet I think she's just SO awesome. She's a great character. And I agree about wondering why not as many people are watching it. (Well, I personally had to get all my episodes online) It seems to be so great and I think a lot of people will find it easy to follow since everyone has read fairy tales at some point. It's a nice twist to it. I just hope the second season will be able to tie everything together as well as the first season. I loved how it was episodic, yet not. It was so cool to see how a lot of little things will show up again later, and how it parallels the real world.

I really liked Rumple and Belle's fairy tale story and thought it was a cool twist on "Beauty and the Beast." But now as for how they suddenly got back together at the end, that seems kinda weird, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I sort of like Rumple being single and all "Grawr lost love and I can't find me son!" kind of person. Belle doesn't seem to be the best match for him for the real life story...I mean, I can't see her just tagging along with all his sneaky behind-the-scenes things. But the story where she was with him in his castle as the price to keep her country safe? I loved it. And Red's story. I don't know why, but for some reason I did NOT see that coming at all. You'd think it's pretty obvious, yet it came as a total surprise to me. I was just like, AHHHH!! Red! Oh Red...!!! She's a great character. Actually I can't say there's a character I don't particularly like, except like Prince Charming's twin brother's dad king person, he's kind of a poop, but understandable too since he wants what's best for his kingdom. And what happened to Prince Frederick? He just wandered off and then I have no idea what happened to him.

Ooh! My sister actually has worked as Pip Penguin and Max before! The costumes are crazy hot and it's so hard to see and gets so foggy, but she says it's a lot of fun. She also got to work with a lot of characters (like that person who accompanies the princesses for crowd control or something) when she was at Disneyland. If you were to work as a character, who would you want to work as? Those signatures are so cool. When the characters have time, like there's not a lot of people in line, they do add the little pictures, but when they're in a rush, they it's just a plain old signature. And I did not know that a friend of Peter Pan's was getting married to a friend of Wendy! That's so sweet. (It would have been more sweet if it was the actual Peter Pan and Wendy getting married, but still!)

Vinylmation! I'm not sure what to make of it yet. It sounds pretty cool in concept although actually seeing it, I'm not sure if I like it. Of course I haven't seen one in person yet and I only have that link and good old google to help. Some of the designs are cool though, like the Toy Story ones.

Awww poor Ariel! No more tail! Tinkerbell and her friends...ah. I did watch the first movie and admittedly, I liked it. Although I feel like the tinker and the animal powers seemed kind of nerfed. Like you would think that for the animal fairies, they would be able to talk to animals. It just seemed like they were reasonably patient, and that was it. And tinker fairies, the stuff they do is like what all the other fairies can do! Tinkerbell is an exception, since she's actually smart and can invent new things, but the other fairies? Eh, not so much. Perhaps the later movies elaborate more on the powers, but other than that, the fairies are pretty cool. But Disney is all about the princesses, and I'm sad to see Ariel being dislocated elsewhere. I suppose they have to make way for the new series for the children who grew up with the fairy movies, rather than the princess movies.

I have not seen Cars Land! I didn't know that movie was big enough to warrant its own land! (Ok, I guess technically the Bug's World place is based on a movie that wasn't as big as say, the princess movies, but at least that one is really unique and cute, a whole new world inside there) We already have Autopia, which I believe they made it Cars themed right?

Yes, we have to go some time! I can probably borrow my sister's season pass haha. But without it, it's so expensive! Especially if we want to go to both parks. Ah such is the life of a poor college student haha. I do still want to see that Battle of the Dance thing, I haven't seen that yet. And Medieval Times! I've only see the Pirate one. We have much to do over this summer! DIY party!!!

Yep! They sat on the ride for one round. I think it was just for fun, like, "Look! Royalty have fun too!" or something. ^^ It's kind of hard to sign autographs and take pictures with them while they're on the carousel right? XD

Me too! Merry go rounds are classic rides, I still love riding them. Disney California Adventures also as a carousel, but it's ocean-themed. I think it looks cooler, but then unfortunately, it's not as comfortable to sit on.

The lockscreen background on my ipod is a picture of one of the horses on the merry-go-round at Hersey Park ([link] ). I love carousels so much they make you feel like a little kid again X3

Ocean themed sounds like it be really cool! I feel like I rode a dolphin on a carousel once but I can't remember where o3o

ScythicKitty In reply to SketchJunkYard [2012-04-25 00:58:24 +0000 UTC]

Yep they do! We're never too old go be on a carousel! That's a pretty horse.

Dolphins! That sounds nice! Let's see, I've seen an Aladdin-themed one at Disney Tokyo Sea (like with camels, elephants, Genies, and stuff) and the one in Ocean Park at Hong Kong is also ocean-themed.

Although one thing I'd still like to see in the future would be a a pokemon one. Not just the tiny ones with just three "horses" in them in front of the supermarket, but a full carousel of pokemon to ride! XD

You've been to Tokyo and Hong Kong? Lucky! Farthest out of this country I've been is canada XD; Hopefully though I'll go to Ireland when I graduate high school.

That. Would be. Amazing. That idea literally just made my night XD Why hasn't Japan done that yet!? They have a pikachu bus so the least they could do is have a carousel! lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ScythicKitty In reply to SketchJunkYard [2012-04-25 01:23:52 +0000 UTC]

Yep! Although my relatives are all in Hong Kong, so I end up going to that area pretty often. The downside is that since they're all over there, we don't have a lot of family here and we don't get to see them often... But there's always pros and cons to everything.

Canada is nice too though! Plus the US has plenty of cool stuff to see here already. Good luck with your plans to visit Ireland!

Japan has a Pikachu bus?! Wow! I totally want to ride that. XD I'm actually kind of surprised they don't have a Pokemon theme park. I mean, the US already made a Harry Potter place (even though I really think that would fit England more right?), and I think Pokemon is as much of a household word as Harry Potter is. I guess they do have that giant pokemon building...but...that's just a store. Although it's a cool store. ^^

SketchJunkYard In reply to ScythicKitty [2012-04-25 01:53:46 +0000 UTC]

Ah that sucks :/ All my family lives in the same state we see eachother quite often. Canada was nice (so much maple candy XD) and the US isn't to shabby either lol. I really want to go to Ireland, same with my grandmother. We're mostly irish, so its always been a dream to go there and see our roots.

Yep! [link] What's more is that its a school bus for kidnergarden! There's a hello kitty one too! [link] And you really think they would have by now o3o Pokemon is even household here. I feel like every kid either wacthed/played/or had cards for pokemon when they were little.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ScythicKitty In reply to SketchJunkYard [2012-04-25 02:27:45 +0000 UTC]

Nice! Being close to family is great, since they're there to support you when you need them! Maybe it's an ethnocentric thing, but visiting your roots just feels so great, like you're finally "back home" from whence you came. XD

The US has a lot of cool places to see, and food! Oh wonderful food! Nom nom nom! I'm in California and I have yet to see all the tourist attractions it has to offer. Traveling is nice, although for airplanes, I'm always terrified if it comes crashing down. What a horrible way to go.

Wah those Pikachu and Hello Kitty buses are so cute! Even though on the inside, they're both just regular buses, I want to sit in them! XD

Yep! If Harry Potter gets his own theme park, why not Pokemon right? But I guess maybe they're worried about the long run, like maybe in the future there won't be Pokemon any more (but same with Harry Potter right? Maybe it's because Harry Potter actively appeals to all ages, whereas Pokemon is primarily a childhood thing, even though plenty of adults still have nostalgia for it?). Hmm...well, there's a Hello Kitty Land in Japan. It's kind of small, but it' super cute (and crowded), so I don't see why a Pokemon world wouldn't do well.
