Quick doodle I drew about two months ago, but completely forgot I never uploaded it! Deviljho seems to like eating anything, and that giant tapeworm sure looks delicious! Pale steaks for everyone!This was done for the challenge, "Two fantasy non-anthropomorphic creatures, one in a defensive pose and the other in a dynamic aggressive pose, during sunset." That being said, I think just by putting the deviljho in an outfit already gives it anthropomorphic features...and the "aggressive pose" isn't all that dynamic. Oh well! I mostly just wanted some practice with hatching, semi-watercoloryish warmer toned coloring, and doodling henna-inspired design thingies.

Yeah, I'll order a pale steak and Khezu special cut combo, with a side of Kut-ku gizzards smothered in Kirin butter, and for the drink, I'll go with fire wyvern fluid. Then for deserts, Khezu whelp ice cream. That'll just about do.

Sounds delightful! The khezu special cut combo is always a safe choice, plus kirin butter smothered over anything is a treat for the tastebuds. The fire wyvern fluid is a little too gamey for me, but I've heard it's an acquired taste and once you get used to it, it's a great drink that goes with everything.

Thanks! Haha I suppose the khezu gets points for trying to avoid being stewed and BBQ'd, but that hungry chef is pretty persistent and won't let his meal escape that easily! Wild-caught, organic, local produce!

Thanks! Whenever I see hatching in comic books, I really like the effect, but it's always been a struggle for me to get used to doing. I'm hoping to get more practice in with it!

I hope all is well with you, I saw that heavy rains in Califonia has lead to a lot of floodings and mudslides. 
On another note, have you been up to something special lately? Sorry for being so late with our replies, I'm working quite a lot these days.

As you saw in the note, so far the mudslides haven't affected us directly thankfully! Supposedly this year we were "promised" and inevitable, monster El Nino that would flood the area and bring record-breaking rains, but so far we haven't had much of that in our county at all. The counties north and south of us have been hit with some rains, but definitely not on the scale that would make history. It's a shame since our reservoirs are in dire need of refilling! 
So far I haven't been up to anything special, just gearing up for the holiday season and keeping busy with a lot of mundane things!

Haha, that's the akward thing, not knowing when to water, and since you can't use a lot, it may be for nothing at the end of the week anyways. Maybe you could try to grow some ornamental weeds then? XD XD
Well, the Paris incidents have upped the security in the country, and more control is being made on people entering or exiting the country, laws are also being added to prevent people from going on terror journeys, amongst other things. The influx of refugees have reached a point where we no longer have housing or space for everyone that arrives, nor education facilities or schools that can take in the children or give the adults basic education in Swedish. We've had over 70,000 people arrive every week for several months now, and even though we want to do all we can to help them, we're running out of space and funds. 
But personally I haven't been noticing a lot of issues where I live, I just hope things work out for the best and we can help as much as we can.

The Paris incidents feel so long ago now... only to have had quite a few more terrorist attacks in the past year! It's been a crazy year! I'm happy that both of us are safe! And wow, Sweden took in a lot of refugees! Would you happen to know what has happened to all those refugees now? With funds and space running low, it's hard to imagine how 70,000 people arriving each week would do in the long run! I hope that things have improved and that everyone is safe!
I agree, it's nice to lend a helping hand to those in need, and it is the right thing to do. Unfortunately with limited resources, it's also hard to stop without looking kinda poopy. I know in the US, a lot of people are against housing refugees because we can barely support our own country, especially since we haven't quite recovered from the recession years ago. Unemployment and homelessness are still pretty high in a lot of areas, not to mention many public schools and facilities just don't have the funding. The mentality then becomes, "Why help others when we cannot even help ourselves?" despite the fact that the US is largely made up of immigrants and their families seeking better opportunities or political asylum. >.<

It probably doesn't help that we've had a lot of games to practice on him! I guess the same goes for some of the other monsters. A mix of better balancing, improved hitboxes (sometimes...), and just overall practice have made them less difficult than before.

Some people had commented how with the new specials and moves in MHX, it'll make the hunts almost too easy, especially in a group of four. Hopefully they've found a way to balance this without making the monsters too cheap. Even if we don't get MHX in the west, I'd imagine that the different hunting styles are probably here to stay.

I see an egg with so much hatching! Oh hohoho! I also forgot this was never uploaded! I think we've discussed this so let's see what else to add. Oh wait... I just realized that's a tapeworm... It even says so in the description... Umm... I see a tapeworm with... Poops! I don't know why I never realized that was poops there... At least it came to the fight prepared.
As for the arts, you've come a long way with your hatching skills! Nicely done, and the tapeworm looks especially wrinkly and leathery in places. And how is that not a "dynamic pose?" The tapeworm will surely die(namic) after this! Does that work? No, because I had to explain it? It's too smart a pun? The warmer colors are quite a bit different from your typical drawings. I like it. But Deviljho can't actually believe that's a proper way to transport its utensils on its tail!

The number one rule to any fight is to bring the poops! No poops, no fight. No fight, no poops. It's just how life is. It looks like the pickle isn't aware this is a fight though...since the tapeworm is going to dienamically dies anyways! O ho ho ho! You are not sollee for that one! Never sollee! It's going to be...um...tastynamic! Yeah! Totes best pun ever!
And thankies thankies! You've helped me along with hatching quite a bit! And that is the only way to transport utensils. It's hygienic and secure. Nobody would dare chop it off, unless they were a stanky bully robber! What a robber!
