Description
Day 6 of 10 days of ocean/seascapes to commemorate the end of summer! This is Pattaya, a beach resort city in Thailand that overlooks the Gulf of Thailand. This particular beach was not affected much by the massive tsunami back in 2004 and remains very popular amongst tourists. It is the second most visited city in Thailand after Bangkok. This is where I experienced banana boating and parasailing for the first time back over 10 years ago!

This looks like it has such nice calm waters! And you are just spying on all these tourists like a shark! I like the texture of the mountain in the back that makes it look like a giant fuzzy head, and the bright blue waters make it look like a giant swimming pool. You peed in this pool didn't you? It looks lovely even though.

Of course I must spy on them! I need to find Waldo! Without finding Waldo, I cannot proceed to the end of the book, and this can be only done in a shark-like manner! And sharks do not pee in the ocean. Sharks pee in public porta potties. That's why the toilet paper is always shredded. And do you see Waldo anywhere? Surely that's not his fuzzy head there?

It definitely was! From riding elephants to the jungle-themed zoos, everything had a very tropical feel! Unfortunately, this extends to the restrooms too at the beach...a tropical public restroom really is far from beautiful! XD Flies, mosquitos, high humidity, wet sandy floors, not to mention all the hundreds of tourists there are using the same two stalls that don't seem to be cleaned often...ick!

Oh man, that sounds like an awesome place, minus the restroom experience then!

It definitely is! Hopefully after all the civil unrest dies down, you'll have a chance to visit. As a fellow nature lover, I think it's a fantastic place to see tropical plants and animals (and I guess smell them too, haha!).

I hope so aswell. It seems like the civil unrest in Thailand is getting worse though.
I bet it was an amazing place though, such an amazing setting!

It does seem like a lot of places in general are getting worst with their civil unrest. We have a friend who works with Doctors Without Borders in Africa, and the few times they can get in contact with family, we just hear about how the hospitals and clinics are raided and all these narrow misses with terrorists! (Of course it doesn't help that recently, there was a Doctors Without Borders hospital in Afghanistan that was bombed and many international medical volunteers were killed...) They're very brave to work in such dangerous places, especially with such limited resources, but at the same time, there are a lot of people who still need them back home where it is much safer too. But I guess once they put their heart into it, there's not stopping them and what they're passionate about!

Oh man, my heart goes out to all those people that have to work in those countries, they're true heroes for trying to help with healthcare in such dangerous places! I would never dare to do such things to be honest.
I really hope all goes well for your friend, I wish him/her the best of luck!
It must be hard for you aswell, since you know that your friend is working in such a dangerous place, all my well wishes to you!

I agree! They really have a big heart to go out to those places to help others where no one else dares. And thanks! I hope that she does well and keeps safe too! It's so scary there and I know I personally don't have the courage to go out there haha!
