Description
While initially filled with self doubt, Artifex eventually put these thoughts aside. She knew that despite her reluctance, she was the only thing between Acoustic and the innocent people of Riverside, and that she had to stand up for them. She thought of one of her favorite Sentinels, Atomic Girl, who despite looking very young, she stood up to more dangerous villains than Acoustic, and kept on fighting despite the odds. This inspired Artifex and gave her newfound courage, refusing to get killed by Acoustic, or to run away from him. However, the thought of running away gave Artifex an idea; this was the moment that Artifex used her greatest asset, her clever wit. Artifex turned and began to flee from Acoustic , seeing this Acoustic began to mock her apparent cowardice and began to do a victory dance. However, this is what Artifex was counting on, using his cockiness against him, Artifex grabbed hold of a stop sign as she ran past it, stretching her arms out, Acoustic too caught up in his victory to notice. Once Artifex felt she was far enough, she launched herself at Acoustic like a human slingshot, zooming through the air like a missile. By the time Acoustic saw her coming, it was already too late. She was too far the frequencies to affect her aim and her attack was too fast for him to react. Last thing Acoustic saw, was Artifex's feet connecting to his face in a high velocity dropkick, breaking his LED visor, but not before showing one last emoji face before the screen went black. Both hero and villain lied on the ground, but only Artifex clambered back to her feet. She stood over Artifex and sighed in relief that he was still alive, worried that she might've killed him with that last attack. Despite being bruised and partially deaf, Artifex felt a sense of pride and joy that she just took down her first en-human villain. However, she didn't stay around to celebrate, as she heard police sirens approaching and she did not want to be arrested for vigilantism. She left the scene and went home to get some rest, knowing that the healing factor that came with her abilities would patch her up after a good night's sleep, though she did have some hearing trouble for a couple days, though that eventually went away too. Still Artifex felt accomplished and more confident in her skills as a hero, though she hoped another fight like that didn't happen anytime soon.

And that concludes the first fight between Artifex and Acoustic. I had a lot of fun drawing these, and I hope you enjoyed them too. Granted this wasn't as dramatic as the Atomic Girl vs Catalyst sequence art, but I felt it was still pretty good.
