Description I deleted it the first time, it was just too vacant. This is still a sketch, and I'll move it to scraps when I produce a finished version on my lighbox. I think I'll just do a pen and ink on this, I'm exhausted in the arena of digital color.

The wolf has a name, though I don't know what it is yet. He's partially inspired by Tracy Butler's (www.foxprints.com) character Regan, though he's my creation. I think the background will look nice when its done. Oh yeah, and that thing in his hand is a rose and it reminds him of something or other, not sure what.

Hey, profile .

I like that you kept the pillars rather simple, because if there were too much details on them, it would melt together with the rest of the background. I wonder how it will look like in greyscales, especially how the background will turn out. When using greyscales (or just one color in general), there's always the danger that characters and background may be hard to distinguish. So I'm really looking forward the finished version ^_~!

As for critique: His head seems a little too big (from our view, it seems like he has a bit too narrow shoulders, but that could have been an illusion because of the head).

This looks nice, adding backgrounds really makes all the difference! I also like the details in his clothing. Keep up the good work...

thanks man! I feel like I've built up the confidence on the proportions and such to start playing with details and techniques, add some flavor to my drawings

it see a bit full of details and maybe the par from knee to toes is a bit shorter than it should but, inked or coloured, will look great!! maybe you could use a burgundy background and he dresed in dark blue...all with golden and yellow details...it would do a bit gothic, if you do it dark enough

I think I'm doing this one in grayscale, its what I'm best at. I've already started and it looks alot better, especially around the knee and toes, though I still don't have it quite how I want it. Hopefully I'll have it done by thurs, because after that its mardi gras here in new orleans, and not much gets done during mardi gras except drinking and screaming

Woah.... COOL background. Haha, he's the first wolf in your gallery who isn't shirtless. Though I don't like his grip on the rose, he's holding it to enjoy it, not to destroy it... anyway, there's an incredible improvement between this and the last pic. Oh... the end of the sword's blade is too thin... just saying. And if you don't mind me saying, he looks like a Dinas to me, or a Jeod. Yeah, a Jeod.

yeah, there are a couple of anatomy mistakes in this one if you really look at it, I'll have to refine some things when I go back over it. I spent alot of time on that hand, and couldn't get it quite how I wanted it (ideally between his thumb and forefinger with the rest of his hand relaxed). It was all done quickly, just trying to get some more architectual styles and backgrounds into my work. Thanks for the suggestions, they're right on and I'll have to remember them.

Huh, I guess he is the first shirted male I've done... I just draw pecs better than I draw shirts
