okay, so this worked, but in motions her feet still drag around.

Her rigging might be messed up on her feet then. :c

I dont know. It moves as though it's using the center bone (the one that drags the lower body arounf like a rag doll), even though with other models it works just fine.

Hmmm.... did you change anything about the feet? Like to make them fit into different shoes or anything like that?

Are you trying to change it to PMX?

Or have you deleted extra physics?

Errr... I have the newest PMX editor and your tutorial doesn't apply. The (J) option saying "add mother bone" in Jap doesn't exist anymore, instead it says something about joint bones. Any ideas?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Hebigami-Okami-77 In reply to Pianodream [2013-10-06 04:29:31 +0000 UTC]

The J option is the same as the "add mother bone", except it's in Japanese. Β I just tried it on a model of mine, and the buttons are all in the same places, just replaced with either Japanese or English.

When you add the parent bone... In MMD the place where the center bone registers disappears and is replaced by the mother bone...
Is there a way to fix that ? (I can't seem to figure it out, Iunno if it's with the grouping of somethin)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

MRIMFire3605 In reply to AbsentWhite [2012-09-25 17:53:49 +0000 UTC]

In main PMD window, go to 8th Tab, Grouping Tab (or GRP in English PMDe). Upper Left Box in that tab is for Facials and Sliders. Bottom Left is bone Groupings. Upper Center Text Entry is for JP naming. Middle Center Text Entry box is for English or other Aliasing Naming. Center Bottom shows group companions of bones and such depending on the group selected in the Upper or Lower Left boxes. Right side has 4 check mark boxes and a drop down list and two buttons at the bottom, top button is add bottom button is delete. So, center bone it is safe to select Bone Grouping (体(δΈ‹) JP name, or Lower Body Grouping in English), then drop down list on the right, find the Center bone JP name in this list, then click the add button. Center bone now re-registered to be drawn in any frame in mmd now. HTH.

;A; I sorry...

MaiCroft [2012-08-17 14:22:03 +0000 UTC]

I'm not sure whether it helps, but you can also do this:
1) Load motion data
2) Select "frame" ---> "select all bone frame"
3) Select "frame" again ---> "apply center position bias"
4) Write in whatever numbers you like
5) Click "register" in the blue box (bone manipulation box)
The only problem with this is that, I still don't know how to rotate a model that way.

Is the mother bone different from the center? Your answer will clear a LOT of things up for me!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Sezfox In reply to MystereDBrothers [2012-06-05 21:43:20 +0000 UTC]

I believe so. It adds another bone to actually help the model adjust to the motion data. At least that's what I noticed.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MystereDBrothers In reply to Sezfox [2012-06-06 01:52:38 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it is. The mother bone controls the model's position in general, similar to the "select all, register all" option. If a motion doesn't include the mother bone, you can have multiple models doing the same thing with no problems.
