And nah, I'm not the first to use a Koopea. Eniotna has a couple in his character previews. Though I tried to make mine from scratch so I wouldn't be close to his redesign.

Eniota is the pioneer and leader of the Paper community, so yeah, I'd go check out his work.
Without him, I would've never started making Paper characters.

And you should. The Mario Universe is plentiful when it comes to species. Just spend a little time on the MarioWiki, and you'd be surprised at what you'll find.

He was basically the first of us to essentially perfect the Paper style. And he is definitely the best of us, no question about it.

I see... I guess that means it was his idea to put that white outline around all the characters? Or maybe that was Sticker Star Damnit! It seems digital art always gets all the attention XD Oh well

That's because the Paper Mario style looks best in digital form. It's how it started, and it's how it looked best in the series' prime.

And no. The PM community was around on here way before Sticker Star by many, many years. Especially Eniotna.

Well, it's true it does look better, when compared to my own hand-drawn paper style (which is ironic because it's drawn on PAPER); But for me, my main attraction in the community is the fan games, so I tend to put the story above the images; I guess the images are just what pulls everyone in

Ah, yes, but I suppose 2 years ago, I didn't realise all the other PM artists; the only one I knew about was the guy who started it all, Chet Rippo. Heck though, even his PM artwork has been completely overcome by all the people that he probably inspired in the first place It's pretty incredible to see how far everyone comes in these communities

Thank you! Glad you approve of her. Honestly, I couldn't resist such a cute design for a character, so I just had to make my own.

And thanks, glad you like my attempt at Flare. Us in the community have to stick together, and seeing how much talent and potential you have, I can't wait to see what you produce and how you improve over time. You remind me of myself 3 or 4 years ago. I could barely design just ONE character and make it look good in Paper Style, so I know potential when I see it.

Dawww, you should give her a name, she'd be perfect for if you ever decided to make a full storyline of your own, haha. ^^ Hell, I may just use the idea of the Fire Spirits if I ever decide to make another fangame idea anytime in the future. =3

I'm so happy you think I have potential, and sheesh, when you compare me to you it makes me feel so special I can't even handle it. >///< You're too kind, really. Maybe in 3 or 4 years, I'll be able to hold a candle to what you and others are able to do, I'll finally not suck, for once. X'D

Haha, I was thinking Nova as her name, considering she's a blue flame.
And you totally should. I might sketch up some ideas of different variations of the species, and you'd have my permission to utilize the designs if you consider them to your liking.
