The PKE Thunderstrike was developed and introduced in 51 ABY, 3 years before the Second Remnant War began. Developed by a relatively new company Caretaker Motors from the Caretaker Imperial Nomadic Alliance. With hallmarks of Caretaker design yet Orion doctrine the PKE Thunderstrike was an immediate success, with variants pertaining to it's name.

The PKE Thunderstrike would be placed right next to Joseph 027-B55 APCs in important strike missions. But it could do well on it's own with smaller support vehicles by it side without the ginormous Joseph 027 series of APC.

Used as the Orion Marine Corps standard APC the PKE Thunderstrike would drive into combat with an Arial Support Assault Personnel Dropship or ASAP.

Equipped with a X3-4D Dual Heavy Minigun turret, Pioneer 101 Dual Light Mortar Launcher Turret and a PV2-41 Medium Machine Gun Turret the PKE Thunderstrike was capable of taking out entire squads of enemy troops at a time, with little to no trouble (unless the squad was actually prepared then the PKE Thunderstrike would require at least a smaller APC vehicle).
