Description
Yep, this was really an excuse to figure out the heights of each family member. XD Not colored because, erm, I'm not super-happy with it. XD (Mostly due to Eliel's wonky eyes, to be honest. And Kili's hair still doesn't look right.) Oh, well.I still don't have a name for the son yet, but I do have a joke centered around his (accidentally reminiscent) appearance.
Gandalf: You look rather like your Great Uncle, Thorin.
(Unnamed Dwelf Son): I'm told that often. >__<

Poor Eliel, she can pass as a human but big brother can pass as an elf! >___< Older siblings are always getting the best in life, or so it would seem. I like this sketch, will it be colored soon?

At least it means that they'll make friends in a variety of places, right? XD And I'm not so sure that it's "better" that he can mix with the elves. After all, there's quite a bit of responsibility and expectation tied in with that society--humans have short lives and shorter memories, so she could join one community, leave, and come back and they would never know that she was the same person. The elves, in contrast, would always remember and consequently treat him like he was a child. >_<
I'm glad you like the sketch! But, no, it's not going to get colored.
It's mostly just a height chart.

Tis both adorable and funny at the same time. Although I'm not sure if I can take credit for the naming--the idea was floating around Tumblr for a bit. ^^

Kaurin? What does it translate into? And as I don't have a permit for any kind of weapon, I think that you're safe.
Knives on the other hand...

Um....nothing. I didn't actually look it up or anything. I was thinking how to make something elvish and dwarvish at the same time. Dwarving naming tends to keep the first letter of the father and son the same. I'd imagine the boys name would be a bit more dwarf related than the daughter anyway.
Oooo sharp pointy objects!

XD Well, in that case...! I say we go for it. I just know that the name I chose for their daughter means, "daughter of the stars," so I was figuring that I would aim for something similar only Dwarven for their first-born. ^^ Still, I think I will lean toward the first letter from the father. Hmm... *twirls nonexistent mustache*
Yep! My roommate has a whole collection of them I can borrow.
