Description
One of my last assignments in my Advanced Illustration is to draw a scene from some sort of text, including book text. I chose Menolly, daughter of Seaholder Yanus, from Anne McCaffrey's Dragonsong trilogy in the Dragon Riders of Pern series. ^^Here she is, running from threadfall, which is essentially the astronomical version of acid rain.
Poor kid. Don't worry, she ends up okay and this situation even leads to her ending up at the Harper Hall, where she deserves to be. 
Menolly, Mimic, Beauty, and Diver (the firelizards) belong to Anne McCaffrey.

oh i remember this book was one of my favorites of the harper hall trilogy.

It was one of my favorites, too. ^^ And it seems like it's the most memorable of all of her Pern books, interestingly enough, if the fanart online is any indication. O__O!
