yep this is part 2.Man, I'm starting to feel like Alex Jones at this point.
It's only a matter of time until I start yelling with my shirt off about writers that turn the frogs gay.
But yes, after doing lots of research on these oh-so-lethal Sega mandates all summer long.
With some help by Lance Jerkoff and especially Alex Hedgefox ( I'd like to thank you guys for the help by the way)
I have finally covered as much research as I could on what many claim to be the other biggest thing that killed Archie Sonic.
The Sega mandates that were forced on the comic as a result of the Penders lawsuit.
Apparently they had enough creative freedom to make a video game character from Japan (Wendy Witch Heart) related to a Satam character (Nagus) and it also looks like that other factions that work for Sega were allowed to do the exact same stuff that Ian and the rest of the Archie staff claimed they were not allowed to do.
and while they did go out of their way to make it clear that Sonic's crying in issue 166 wasn't excessive, They didn't go out of their way to make it clear that Uncle chuck in the reboot wasn't Sonic's relative and that the "uncle to many" thing wasn't referring to the readers.
Not only that, but it looks like the mandates that where claimed to be a huge bother seemed to always be there even before the Reboot, and even before Ian Flynn arrived.
What could this mean?

You should make one on how SEGA basically put Ian Flynn and IDW on a straitjacket and is fucking their whole franchise, main games included, with these mandates.
Honestly, these mandates were the last straw for me. I refuse to be a Sonic the Hedgehog fan with such a demented company as SEGA controlling it.

If there are mandates, they only created by Flynn for other writers.

And seeing how in the upcoming Mario And Sonic At The Olympic Games for the Switch that the Sonic characters are able to wear different outfits for different events, if these so-called "mandates" exist, then the Mario and Sonic sub-series, along with Sonic Boom, is going to be an example of "rules for thee, but not for me", because Sega is guilty of breaking some of the rules they set up.

They got around the 2 metal Sonics thing by never directly saying that Captain Metal was a previous Metal Sonic
"Mandates" are not set in stone rules. They are descriptive of SEGA's weird marketing decisions, as such, there will always be "holes" in the situation. Also, for all the family members but Wendy, none of them were explicitedly said to be FAMILY
The advertisement doesn't make any mention of a planet name. According to the address, "Mobius" is an address on Earth.
"Worlds Collide" canonically happens the same exact way in the reboot, with the only difference being that Eggman was in the White Void. When Sonic says he "broke the planet" he's not talking about the universe reset, he's talking about the Dark Gaia stuff.
Classic Sonic was much more restricted in the original archie continuity, got lifted a little bit by workarounds in Nu252 and became restrictive again in IDW. But, that's SEGA for you. They always change what they want.
As for Sonic Losing, Ian explicitedly said that the only way 2007 happened was that Sonic immediately won the issue afterwards.

On the part of "Sonic is not allowed to Lose", Well, The Genesis Wave Arc can actually be considered a "Fail" on Sonic, since he Failed to stop the Machine from being used.
By all intents and purposes, Ian Flynn long violated his own Rule when he came up with the Genesis Wave device, since in order for this shitshow to happen, he needed Sonic to Fail.
So basically, Ian Flynn violated his own set rules just to get what he wanted.

Someone needs to stop SEGA of Japan from killing the franchise even more, my blood boils more and more I see of their stupidity, they have to STOP with just making it Japan-exclusive there are other people around the world who prefer the FF and old SatAM chars if they try to kill it? what i really want to know is why aren't main characters like sonic and sally not allowed to have relationships with each other or anyone else for that matter. Was it to stop the shipping wars between the different pairing camps? I remember reading an article or a discussion in a sonic wiki that Aaron had something to do with it?

What really happened was that Flynn didn't want to write Sonic and Sally back together.
He wanted to write Sonic and Amy together, But Sega didn't want him to the pairing to happen.
So Flynn had his hands tied.
Also, If you want more proof the mandates are fake, notice how the mandates list on the Sonic wiki says the Freedom Fighters are "ACP characters".
When it's proven by documents that they are Sega owned characters.

Remember, Genesis Wave occurred in-universe. It happened in the comics and was made to basically "Reboot" The Multiverse, and yes, I said the Multiverse, as in several other universes within the Sonic Dimensions!

Well for most of them there are reasons let me just quickly go through it
1. Neo Metal is still regular old metal Sonic just in another transformation and Captain Metal just Like Shard gets around the Mandate by not actually being the real Metal Sonic.
2 The moment Sega allowed the Black Arms to be used did there also automatically allow relationships for Shadow because all black Arms are the children of Black Doom. And Wendy is an character so old that Sega properly doesn't care for her. As for The generals relative she was if I recall correctly mention in Shadow the hedgehogs Expert mode so you have your loop hole there.
3.Lets me honest Sega lets Arron basically do what ever the hell he wants to.
4.Worlds Collide did happen in the post genesis wave universe as well and just happened after Generations same in the Megaman comic's were the first crossover is set in the future.So this aren't memories from the previous universe just from the new universes version of Worlds Collide (with the only change really should be that Sonic recalled the Genesis wave from Sonic advance 3 rather than from Sonic Genesis arc.
5.Okay I got nothing here other than that Iizuka perhaps was flip-flopping sounds like something he would do.
6.The first one happened before such mandates were put into place and for the Egg Beater fight did Sega only agree under the mandate that Sonic would win right in the next issue so properly the same happened here again.
7.Sonic Boom isn't supervised by SoJ and had for the most part the same freedom SoA had with Sonic in general back during the 90th.
8.I would find it hard to believe that Sega wouldn't make an excuse for a gag cover, Sonic wearing Chips ring is a one to one recreation of a game scene and so gets a past and the very next time we see him did he already removed it and for boom see point 7
9.Sega only really forbid things like the uncolored most outer panel the 2 from the new universe are just tame enough to get a past.
10.Given that the Comics biggest hater mister naka had left the team by the point this images were made is it obvious that the tensions between continuities aren't seen as tight anymore. But did anyone really use this as an argument why the Comics Failed?
Personally would I have blamed it on keeping the numbering which prevented new comers to check it out like it new happened with the IDW comics and having at the start so many strings ting it to the old continuity which again made it unlikely for new people to come in while many of the old ones left in protest.

If he was the same, then that still would have contradicted the mandate of characters not being allowed to change appearance.
2. Sega had restrictions on the use of Black Doom. Adding additional family memebers for Shadow is like giving Cream a dad, it still violates the non-exsistent mandates. Also, Tails Sky Patrol still gets re-released digitally to this day so that Wendy Withch heart thing still counts. Lastly, there's no way Sega executives would have known something as obscure as a little line of dialog beating Shadow's crappy game. If that Line of dialog is true, then shouldn't she be on maternity leave since they talk about the General becoming a grandfather?
3. Rules apply to Arron Webber as well. He has stated that everything he does needs to be approved by Sega (even Sega of Japan)
4. That Generations thing makes no sense anyway, because Heroes and Unleased need to happen in order for Generations to happen. Also, lets not forget that Worlds collide references the old universe many times during the event. Like Sonic Remembering Mecha Sally mid-Battle.
5. This was before the separate universe thing happened with Forces. Read the fine print.
6. They stated that Sonic should never fail, thus arcs like those will never happen. But Sonic fails anyway, this proves that the Sonic should never fail thing is BS.
7. Yes it is, and Sega of Japan gives the same amount of freedom and advertisement to Boom as they would Archie Sonic.
8. it clearly states, Regardless of story context. Besides, they let characters change outfits in other games and comics anyway. That alone proves that this mandate is a lie.
9. those moments in the reboot are the same level of emotion as those moments pre-reboot. This proves that the lawsuit didn't effect Sonic's level of emotion.
10. You made that up. Naka did NOT hate Archie Sonic or the western continuity, in fact he has stated in the past that he admires the continuity that Sega of America created. He even wrote a thesis for the end of issue 125. look it up.
And yes, people constantly make claims that Sega of Japan are the ones trying to kill the American continuity.
The numbering had nothing to do with it, it was Ian Flynn's increasingly lazy writing that killed the comic.
