Designed to be escorts for the three Leviathan class heavy battleships, the six Polaris class Destroyers were based on the old Whirlwind class Destroyer and could be seen as a modernised version of that ancient class. Designed to engage other WarShips as well as DropShips that might be trying to flank their larger charge, the Polaris is heavily armed with a wide range of weapons from Naval Autocannons down to Mech scale lasers as well as hosting two Stars of fighters (20 in total).
