A commish, thus a little bit out there compared to some of my other works, regardless I had a lot of fun, Im still waiting from their response, but I liked it enough to post this, even if its still a concept.Related content

I have book with a rare museum piece from black powder days (1700s): a four barrel, superimposed charge (aka roman candle), with a bore something like 15mm ~0.70cal. Each barrel might have held up to six charges.
One flintlock, one trigger pull set the all the charges going off in sequence, down one barrel, then the next and so on.
Basically, the wielder pulled the trigger and just hung on for the ride and hoped the charges did fire sequentially.
Probably a "deck sweeper" used aboard ships either against boarders or mutineers.

An 8-Gauge quadrupole-barreled shotgun. Very nice, I've been waiting for someone to finally design one. Probably hurt like hell to fire it, but it'll hurt a lot more for the guys on the other end! I believe the phrase 'wall of lead' applies here.
