Description Continuing on. He already had his teeth in but I may do a tutorial on installing teeth, I may not.

I've trimmed the face now with scissors and smoothed any stray pieces with electric trimmers. I'll be making his ears and attaching them next. His eye will be in soon and I'll finish with tinting the fur with the airbrush and putting a neck on him.

It's part of the character, it's clean (I did the effects of the beat up look) and it was cleared by the owner so yes.

You know what I find easier? Installing the eyes first, and using a razor instead of scissors. Just pick up a beard trimmer or something, works awesomely. And a heck of a lot faster and is not as chunky.

On this one I've left the side of the head open o I can install some wiring for the LED.

I use scissors first because I've dulled too many blades all too quickly. I have several trimmers made for fur, I just use them to do the detailing and cleaning.

Oh really.. huh... I would have thought installing wires and such before furring would be easier... Where do you put the battery pack for them? And where do you have the wires running usually?
(Thinking about installing leds in my Anubis when I get around to doing it)

Oh ok, gotcha. I just use a beard trimmer and it's doing pretty good so far. LOL got the funniest look when I was buying it, saying to myself "hmm. will this work? Is this a good size? Oh cool it's cordless!"

No I mean all of the fur is sewn, just not attached to the head. I can pull it all off in one piece easily. I just did the furring for the tut.

For this guy, since it's just 1 LED going in behind is right eye, I have the wires going under the fur, ending inside the right ear. Since he only has half an ear, I was going to have it open up so the wearer could access it easily. I have a small switch and a watch battery powering the LED so I'm not dealing with bulky batteries and such.

I just use the scissors first so my trimmer blades will stay sharper longer. It's what does and so far it's worked pretty well for me. If you get good enough with the scissors like has, you don't really need trimmers.

Ahh gotcha.

I'm pretty good with scissors, but I'm just lazy. XD

I usually have a head in hand and sit in front of the TV and make it while watching. That's what I do. X3
