It's interesting to see how you do textures opposed to how I've tried doing them. Colouring them that way's a good idea though, I should try that...

I has question. D:
When adding the Gradient to the texture, when I press ctrl + g, it makes a group. Like...a folder to organize layers. Same thing with the drop down menu. :< I am using CS3, so that may explain something, but do you know any alternative method to doing this?

wow this was so helpful! Especially the ctrl g thing. Awesome. i always just used overlay on my textures, i never thought to colorize it. Coolio :3

you should make a tutorial on erm... idk. Scales are drawing sorta... I was thinking a guide to the muscle structure and stuff. You know, just to show what the scales go and witch direction they go towards~ That would make everyone happy DB but its drawing and I know you don't want your style reproduced so I won't get my hopes up...

oorrrr you can do like me and make texture from freaking scratch on paper with colored pencils..... ah yea.. I miss my photoshop...
too bad there was only so many times I could register my CS2 copy. bat turds ._.

I try and save textures/download them...but they are always on a file that doesn't work for my mac |:
