sure, i'd think so c: i would do the pants on their own layer or something of the like and put the texture layer above it and hit ctrl+g to group it to the later below it (the pants layer!) of course, if you dont use layers that way you could always just erase the texture you dont want

This was very helpful! I'm glad I stumbled upon it.
I do have one question though. When you ctrl-g to have it effect just the texture, is there another way to do that without hot-keying? When I ctrl-g it makes a new group :c

thank you!
yeah it depends on what version of photoshop you have. In Elements it's Filter > Group with Previous and in PS7 and CS i think it's Filter>Create Layer mask. but see i'm never sure so pressing ctrl+g works for me D:

I accidentally threw an 'alt' in with the ctrl-g and I got it and I use CS3, so I guess if anyone else comes asks, you can say to try alt-ctrl-g C:

I'm not sure if its already been mentioned (I dun wana read all 230 coments ): but in the newer versions of PS (i only know of cs3, probably 4 too, not sure if in 2 as well) the ctrg+g was replaced by strg+alt+g or something, so people who want to put it on that hotkey should go to Keyboard shortcuts and Look for Layer->Clipping mask and rehotkey it or just use the hotkey shown there Just wanted to let you know
Apart from that very great tut !
