Description
After the rather muted tones of 'never' I felt like going a bit overboard in the other direction and produce something really bright and cheerful. It's the first time in a while that I've produced something purely in Photoshop without some photo or render as a starting point (a few of the extra details around the edge were done in Illustrator though).I also wanted to make something like this for DC's Deluxe packs as the whole feel of deluxe was colourful and vibrant in my mind. It would have been a shame not to have at least one eye candy piece there :}

This reminds me of memories of mixing paint together .. not really creating a new color, but liking to look at the odd swirls of the colors, you know? And I can definately see a 'bird' in there -- I know I'm not crazy.

Thanks, yes it is a bird, there are some fairly unsubtle references to birds there but at least one subtle one, that font is called 'birdman'

The colours are nice, but I think there's way too much background. The black takes away from the actual image and makes it look small and less exciting

yeah I should have cropped it closer maybe. I did try adding more details to the background but felt it got a bit overly complex quite quickly.

When anyone else does this (using alot of very vibrant colors) it tends to be too bright, your's is dull - color wise, but it also adds a specific feel to it. Which is why I like it, you handled the color very well.

Oh... i like it less than the other ones, and i find this very less joyful ... Colours to me are not always synonymous of joy, and here it's pretty... gloomy to me !
Still a good piece of course, it really works, but not in the sense u mentionned...
