Description Woah where have I been, and where did this 3d art come from.

Good question.
Im growing rather tired of space related themes, and I needed a breakthrough piece into the 3d realm. Ive always wanted to learn it ever since I started 2d art, and its just taken an accumulation of all the skills with playing around with 3dsmax.

This is the first true render scene ive ever done, much less anything in 3d other than some asteroids.
Im sure there are some things not that great about it, but its a start in terms of me expanding my horizons in other media.

Hope you like it.

looks good. cracks, a lot of times, have smaller ones branching off the main, kinda like branches on a tree y'know? minor detail that may help the piece look more natural.

it does, and for cement, it's pretty much perfect. Having more branching like you suggesst would suit for glass/ice/marble but concrete got a different usure. Afterall, it wasn't struck by a sledgehammer did it?

It aint cracks due to physical punishment but crackings by wear+weather

also some of the lines arent cracks but wires, in case those are the straight "cracks" you're speaking about.

Everything here looks very nice, natural, and gritty. I like that you thought to include that wire running along the wall and those cracks with the mildew as it all lends a more realistic feel to the piece. The only thing that seems off to me is the pipe on the left. Something about the shading or depth of it seems off. However, overall the piece is quite nice.
