Cool way of inking you pictures ... I use the pen tool. I always have trouble using the pencil tool with the mouse. It's too wobbly. Or do you use the tablet thing?

It's interesting how you actually thicken your lines relying on the slight offset of each new additional layer Though, I had always thought that you colour everything first before using the gussian blur filter. So does this mean you colour with the soft lines already in place?

it can go either way! lately ive only been merging the two blur layers together before i start smacking down color, and then switching them off while i get everything adjusted there. it helps keep the gray out. it gets hard to see with only the original skeleton-lines, but you can also just color straight-away beneath all three of the layers smushed up.. just remember not to pick colors to close to the lineart.

That's true, it's hard to fill all the way with blurry outlines. I would assume that your first original lineart would have gaps between lines (since they're so nice and thin with different weights), which makes it impossible to paint bucket the base colour all in one go. I've always been doing the gaussian blur after I've coloured and merged everything, that's why I haven't always been getting the right colour. But I'll keep that in mind Thank you for the tips

*praises* My gawd, thank you. I have been wanting to know how the heck you do your work for ages. I may not comment much at all on your work but I do love it. I finally understand how you manage to capture a type of "feeling?" into your images that I can not find anywhere else. I know feeling is the wrong choice of a term... but I'm at a loss for words right now. Your linearts for you work are always something special, and now, I know the secret...

Not to mention, I have something new to experiment with. I've always had trouble inking sketches without using Photoshop's pentool.

Again, thank you. I'll be looking forward to your future tutorials. I must know your secrets.
