Description Engineered and constructed by the expatriate Incom/Frei-Tek development team, the T-65C X-Wing Plus was delivered to elite Galactic Republic Starfighter Corps units just prior to the climatic Battle of Endor. An improvement to the T-65A and B models, the T-65C boasts a superior avionics and sensors package, faster sublight engines, and boosted laser cannons to create a starfighter more than a match to its Galactic Dominion opponents. As part of the Father and Son of the Suns infinities setting.

Hmmm...the Droid needs to be covered with a protective cover and top part behind the droid need protective hull plating but all in all a much better design.

Do you know T-65C are official? They appear in Rogue One as Blue Squadron ship when Red Squadron use T-65B.Β

This is not part of the new canon, nor from the EU. This is from my fan infinities setting, Father and Son of the Suns.

Ah, I see. I have the Rogue One Visual Guide, but I don't recall running across that. Appreciate the heads-up!

There is not so much aesthetics differences. It is like F-15A and C

Shoguneagle In reply to DarthSparrow [2017-11-11 14:40:54 +0000 UTC]

Externally, no. Internally, however, could mean a world of difference. For example, the F-15A possesses a far more simplistic avionics package, external stores capability, and internal fuel system components than the C-model. Years of modifications, improvements, and expanding capabilities and redundancies make their way into subsequent models. An A-model released in 1974 is absolutely no match for a modern C-model with its AESA radar, datalink 16 package, ability to carry and fire the AIM-120A/B/C and AIM-9X air-to-air missiles, JMHCS system, and PASS modifications.Β

That’s why I said aesthetic. Even if the difference will be smaller between B and C , Blue Squadron clearly have the superior X-Wing in Rogue One. And no fair comparison could be made with T-70 X-Wing used by Poe Dameron. It would be like putting F-15A against F-15K (there is writing about more advanced X-Wing used by the Republic so it would be like F-15SA)

Well, seeing how most of the New Republic Starfleet was wiped out in The Force Awakens, I'd say it's safe to bet the T-70 will be seeing a lot more use in the next two movies.

And your T-65C looks more advanced than Disney T-70

I figured it was easier for them to channel Ralph McQuarrie's original designs than come up with something original. I still like the T-70 and the new A-Wing (whatever that's going to be), but it's not exactly their most creative moment.

Oh it's nice to see McQuarrie design in real but it's sad to hear everywhere the New Republic has better X-Wing than the Resistance but not saying them.

All these fan ships look good enough to be in the main material. But, one stat I would like to see is, well, introduction date in relation to the main series.

Not a bad idea (might take a bit of time for me to update them all). For the T-65C, it's fielded 3 years after the Battle of Alderaan (this timeline's version of the Battle of Yavin).

Cool, and understandable.
So, for the T-65C, it would be equivalent to 3ABY, correct?

Looks very much like how I'd imagine the Republic T-80 (I think it's 80? Maybe 85...) in the sequel trilogy might look.... Good work!Β
