Watership Down characters, part 2/6: supporting cast.The first image is the character's design from the Watership Down movie, the second one's the bunny's design from the first two seasons of the WSD TV series, and the third image is the design from season 3 of the series.

Absolutely! Each person will enjoy different aspects of a piece of media! And to be fair, even peoppe who like the series on it's own merits know it's far from perfect.
The book and movie ares definitely classics though, we probably agree on that

I only like the TV series because I watched it when I was like...9 or 10, and now it's just a nice memory. Then later I read the book (now it's my favourite book :3) and then watched the movie.
Woundwort- Ok so I actually like season 1/2's design for him. Season 3's is barely intimidating though.
Vervain- Season 3 did him well, I suppose. For the TV series in general, he wasn't that bad.
Campion- Season 3 ruined a very handsome rabbit ._.
Cowslip- Never liked this guy, but Season 3 made him look like a #$%!ing pokemon.
Clover- ...She turned NEON YELLOW? WHAT?!
Season 3 makes no sense to me ._. Of course they were all best in the movie.

I loved Woundwort's design in the TV series, I felt it was more menacing. XD Though Cowslip looks a bit silly IMO. XD This pic is awesome.

I like Woundwort's voice/design in season 1 and 2! So good, but not as good as The Woundwort form the film! o.O

i always preferred the movie to the tv series; the character designs were just a little too weird, and they turned my beloved Blackberry into a girl!
plus i distinctly remember Clover being a black angora, not white/cream

The character designs for the TV series aren't as bad as I'd heard, though some of them do look pretty odd.
The goatee on Vervain looks really weird, plus his design doesn't really fit him, IMO. Richard Adams described him as a "tough, savage looking rabbit". Here he just looks like some weasel-y old fart(no offense to you, you draw him very well!).
And Cowslip... yikes....

But honestly, have you ever seen a rabbit with front legs as long as their hind ones?
I mean, Frith gave them long back legs so they could hop faster, but in the series, their front legs are long as well. Makes them look like dogs.

I still love your drawing, but I must say, the movie drawing, in general, are a whole heck of a lot better than in the series. It's not your art I'm commenting on, I love your pics, it's the pics from the series. I've seen a lot of them... But being I don't have tv, and I live in Tucson AZ (I don't know if WSD played here), I haven't seen the actual series, I've only seen pics. XD
