Description I think this piece was inspired by my latest poll question.

H.P. Lovecraft is one of my favorite writers and his works have been a big influence on me. I'm surprised it has taken me this long to get around to doing a piece in his honor, but now I finally have. This piece features a bunch of monsters influenced by his writings, in particualr...

Cthulhu, the Deep ones, Chthonians, Gugs, Moon-Beasts, Zoth-Ommog, the Great old ones and the Necronomicon!

I think this is wonderful. I couldn't help but smile at this because a friend of mine and myself are running Cthulhu for mayor in the next election in our city.

Looks great.

Not sure The thing was HPL inspired though.
Seems like the thing was really about the fear of communism.
Story was written back in the 50s when the Reds were a big threat.
John Carpenter's The Thing was way better than the first The Thing.

When I was a kid channel 7 (abc) used to have 4:30 movies and they would have a weekly theme.
One of my fav themes was the HPL inspired movie week, they would play
The Dunwich horror, The color out of space and some other movies.
Wish I could remember them.

Did see a direct to video movie called Dagon, its gross but a good watch.

There are still people writing stuff based on the HPL mythos, Ramsey Campbell's Cold print is pretty good.
Also Brian Lumely's Titus Crowe series is very good.
He also has done a series of stories based on HPL Dreamworld too.

Got a bunch of novels and one of them the writer combines HPL mythos with a film noir feel, its a good story.
Note me and I will give you the titles.

Yea, send me a list of those titles, I'd love to read them!

I read one of the Titus Crowe books and I'm currently reading the "List of 7" which is more about conspiracy and Arthur Conan Doyle in a cool pulpy period piece but it has some HPL like elements.

I also liked the Dagon movie. Had some cool imagery in it.

I have the list of 7, think there is another book "the something of 6". Poor thing is buried behind the other books.

Have all 3 of the titus crow books and the dreamworld series too.
Used to be a big fan of Brian Lumely (Necroscope series) but it just kept going on.
Just got book 5 of the gunslinger series and its a regular sized book, hate those overisized books.
They don't fit in the bookcase with the regular sized books. Hope they come out with regular sized books for book 6 and 7.

Great thanks! I'm going to look intop getting these.

The sequel to the "List of 7" was the "6 Messiahs". I picked it up and plan to read it when Im finished with list. I was hoping this series would keep going until he got to "1" but I guess that wasn't the plan.

I looked into the hoodie thing and I'm not too happy with how it would look. They only have white or grey hoodies and the picture is kind of small on there, like only 10 inches.

I can put it on a tshirt black, white or grey ( black would probably be the coolest) with the image on the front of the shirt. I haven't seen any of the black shirts yet so I'm not 100% sure about the quality but I'm sure it's fine. If you into that at all I can set one up this week and put it in my store. Let me know.

Oh so bad about the hoodie, but it's ok the shirt, just one thing, the xxlarge is like a 42 o4 44 size? cause well. i'm a fatass and i want to fit cool on there XD cause there are some xxlarge like all pasted to the body (they r sure fit or small fit i dont remeber the name) so i wanna kno if there are xxlarge or a bigger one, so the shirt can fit me right, thnx a lot for taking all this time to do this i aprecciate it lot! thnk u very much

Yea, it looks like they have xxl and also xxxL. The only crappy part is that the image itself can only be 10 inches tall. That isn't bad but on a big shirt like that I wish they would let it go bigger but they won't. I'll still try and put one on ther in the next couple days or so. Just keep an eye out for it.

I got a couple posters for myself and they look really cool. The color came out great, so I'd say the poster is your best bet. I don't really trust the shirt printing since I haven't seen it first hand.

hahahahaha ok, so bad about the printing , it'll be nice to have it on a big screen lol, but ok if i see that the image looks so lil, i'll get the poster then, or hey why dont u let me copy the image and see if i can get a place where i can print it on a hoodie on a larger size and with a bigger size of the imgae... the problem will be that i dont have the image rights XD or can't u sell me sumthing like a special image and then i go and see if it works or not? or idk XD hahaha thnx for keeping this up for long

The image is too hi-res for me to email or anything and I'm not really comfortable putting it out there. I'll still look into the tshirt thing, it would be nice to have some. Until then, the poster is a good idea, it looks really cool.

I was thinking about making one of those little journal/sketchbook things with the image on it as well.

Very, very amazing, Mr.H... I haven't heard much about the man himself, but I know about the creatures surrounding him. Mostly of Cthulhu, for I have a friend who taught me about him.
Very beautiful, instant favorite.

Thanks! I was afraid I would do more harm than good with this piece, there is no way you can truly draw or describe his creatures. At least without keeping your sanity.
