Description
This started out as a reference sheet for me if and when I use any of these guys in a comic. I wanted to have a definitive chart of all the film and TV Phantom actors' heights. It seems to have morphed into a police lineup of sorts instead. Go figure. Here's a list of everyone's heights, just so this retains some of it's original intent.
The Phantom of the Salle aka ME- 5'1 1/2'' (because half inches count too
Lon Chaney-5'9''
Claude Rains-5'6 1/2''
Herbert Lom-5'9 1/4''
William Finley-6'4''
Maximillian Schell-5'10''
Robert Englund-5'10''
Charles Dance-6'3''
Julian Sands-5'11''
Gerard Butler-6'2''
Michael Crawford-5'10 1/2'' (Why is MC in this chart when he was never in a film, you ask. I answer with another question: why not?)
These numbers are taken from IMDb, except for Salle. (I hope I know what my own height is...) Shoes and heeled boots *cough*LonandRobert*cough* were not included in the chart. I drew them all as if they were barefoot.
EDIT: This was made well before the Royal Albert Hall performances, so please stop asking why Ramin is not in here. RAH isn't a film anyway, people.

Yup! I love those films. Each of them is awesome in it's own way, at least for those three. Some of the others aren't so amazing, but still worth a look. Check them out, I'm sure you will enjoy yourself.

Claude is awesome..... he's short, just like me.
In his first starring role in film (1933, The Invisible Man) he was shorter than the leading lady.

I wasn't a fan of the 1943 version, and 1989 was too gory. I favorites are 1990 , Charles Dance(as a cutey phantom! ^.^) and the 2004, with Gerard Butler. as for the rest, I haven't seen them yet, but I have heard of them.

Yes, Charles is a cutie.
If anything, I suggest watching the old silent classic. It's quite close to the book in ways the other variations aren't, plus Lon Chaney Sr. is just amazing. I'm certain you can find it free to watch on the internet.

I love it. But I sort of miss the two book phantoms... I mean, granted, Kay's Erik looks exactly like Leroux's Erik... but I miss book Erik....

My favorite Phantoms shown: Lon Chaney (best Phantom make-up), Michael Crawford (I grew up with his voice), Charles Dance (the sweetheart of the bunch).
Phantom Films listed that I've yet to see: Claude Rains, Phantom of the Paradise, Robert Englund, 1998 Argento (don't have much desire to see that one).

You can see Paradise on youtube. Not sure about the others. The Phantom Reviewer did a hilarious review/parody of the Argento, also on youtube. That's as much as you need to see of that movie.
I highly recommend the Englund film. It's absolute bloody good fun.
The 40's one is just adorable and has good music. Claude Rains is positively cuddly.

I love Phantom Reviews' videos!
